A Nigerian man has shared his painful experience on social media after discovering that his wife extorting him with their daughter’s school fees, collecting far more than necessary and leaving him feeling deeply betrayed.

That bold part i heard happened in Delta. Isoko woman. Husband was a tenant without knowing. Children knew but husband had no idea.

Though it does happen but this particular one is a skit.

Stale. If he had been more involved in the daughter's life, the wife wouldn't have done that. Some men think being a father is only about paying school fees.

No be today women dey play men local nau. From inflating the prices of foodstuff to clothes and other things.

But let us be realistic with ourselves, how does a man send his child's school fee to the wife to pay to the school? Like how?

He didn't visit the school before enrolling? He never inspected their facilities nor met the teachers? Unless him and the wife are no longer together. And even at that, he needs to be a bit involved.

I had told myself I won’t marry a girl who’s not educated so when I meet a girl who’s not gone to university and I like her ,I support her to go to university,I had this one chick I dated that year ;she lied to her parents she was in school where as she wasn’t ,they gave her school fees and she used it for something else and finally when she got admission,there was no money to pay school fees ,she was my very good friend before we even started dating ,now

Husband, you said she is your wife, and you have found out the truth on how much is the daughter's fees.
Please ask her where she put the balance of the remaining money over the period of years that you have been giving her same.....
Her response will make you know if you marry an asset or liability.

A little bit of hands on parenting would have resolved this. In 2025 it is direct transfer to school account.

More importantly as a parent you need to check out the school to be sure it is not a money sink but actually providing value
