Adebayo Criticises Tinubu’s Leadership, Says Government Lacks Clear Direction by Lifestylecom(op): 7:01am On Nov 27, 2025

“You can’t fail in every aspect. You fail in security, you fail in economy, you fail in culture and you fail in sports. So, you fail in everything, and you expect that people are going to remark on those failures,” he said.

Adebayo also raised concerns about the state of security in parts of the northern region, noting that widespread instability continued to hinder development.

“So you cannot Afghanistasize your own country and expect people to sing your praises. You cannot take every index that you meet and make it worse. Unemployment is worse. Inflation is worse. Security is worse. International profile of the country is worse,” he stated.

He further commented on diplomatic appointments and overall governance, adding: “You either don’t have the competence to appoint ambassadors or you can’t find competent ambassadors to appoint. Either side of the coin is a failure. So you can’t police the state. You can’t secure the state. You fail. You don’t even have enough mental capacity to explain your failure.”

Describing what he sees as a lack of strategic direction, he said: “From all indications, the government has lost its map and it’s just waking up every day reacting to any new incident or the umbrage whether local or international. There is no rational observer who would say, this is the trajectory of where the presidency was headed to.”

He argued that the administration had not yet fully settled into a cohesive operational structure. “President Tinubu has lost control of his own government which he hasn’t had time to put together to start with,” he said.

Using a maritime analogy, Adebayo likened leadership challenges to a captain unable to navigate a ship: “They definitely are in the wilderness. And if the captain of a ship cannot find his way to the bridge… then he has no control over the speed of the sail…”8

With terrorist overunning states like kwara, Kebbi, Niger, Katsina why has a state of emergency not been declared in those areas and a military administrator appointed to until normalcy resumes.

One tent of this never happened in Rivers when a politicized SOE was declared.

No direction at all. Any of his supporters who says otherwise must be asked the direction their principal is headed.

What about the health sector? He also failed in the health sector. Doctors and JOHESU have been on strike for over 3 weeks, yet no effort from his government to address the issues. What of the education sector? ASUU has gone on warning strike and planning to resume full strike and government is doing nothing. The only booming economy is the banditry economy. What a failed government!

Na now day break for? It's better late than never.

Better than what the so-called southern governors jamboree came out to say , passing a vote of confidence on Tinubu without even mentioning the problem of insecurity, banditry and open grazing on our land which is the main problem we should be tackling before it gets late.

I listened to Adebayo on Politics today.
What I discovered from all of this critic’s is, it’s easy to talk.
The present President did the same thing.
Buhari too, now it’s Obi and Adebayo.

All promise heaven on earth, all reach there and failed.

What is killing Tinubus regime is politics over governance.
A1 in state of emergency in Rivers while northern states are Bandits lodge
A1 in party defection
Security failure
Employment failure
Economy worse than he left it
Our national image gone
Had Trump not poked him he wud have been junketting d globe. Always one international summit to attend.
Democracy is govt of d people by d people and for d people not d aristocracy Tinubu is practicing - govt for d elites by d elites and of d elites

There are over 200 million people in Nigeria. When a leader fails, he should give way, Presidency is not a birthday gift.

Nigerians should not blame God Almighty for the failure of their leaders but themselves. Many Nigerians don't think alright. Should failure be reelected?
