Bandits have reportedly kidnapped 20 farmers, including four pregnant women and children, in Unguwan-Kawo, Erena Ward of Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State.

Residents told Daily Trust that the victims were abducted from their farm around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, while harvesting rice

One resident, who requested anonymity, said his nephew was among those kidnapped. He added that the farm is located just about 500 meters from Erena town, where a military camp is situated.

The incident comes just six days after over 200 students, pupils, and staff were abducted from St. Mary Secondary and Primary School in Papiri, Agwara LGA.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said he would verify the report.

When terrorists help you to win election, it would be hard for you to make a decision on your own or strike them..

Always come out clean.

If I were the president, at this banditry season, I would call on previous and past presidential candidates, we would run minds together to find a solution. That's where the confidence would come.

It's only someone far from you would tell you the truth.

The closer ones will just keep telling you, yes, you are right because of padipadi

Strike out bandits

Make a bold move

Seek for foreign assistance

Secure our borders

And boom, they are all gone back from where they came from.

All you have to do is to arrest their sponsors and negotiators.

Cut off the head and the snake will not strike

Uproot the root and the grass will stop growing.

This is the Nigeria some people have always wanted and they have achieved it with Buhari and Tinubu.

May the farmers be returned safe, sound and on time, and may lasting peace be restored to the affected communities.

Proverbs 29:2 says,

"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people suffer." This verse highlights the impact of leadership on a community. When leaders are just and fair, it brings joy and prosperity, but when they're corrupt or unjust, it leads to suffering. ¹
