You can see that if everyone have a gun all this nonsense will stop. I think it’s the neighbor that shoots those bullets. In some countries they shoot someone and calls the police with security cameras everywhere’ for evidence. If your cameras can’t capture it. Your neighbors own will.

I have found myself in this situatuation before. When armed robbers were hitting the door repeatedly attempting to enter, walking around the house. Na that day respect naija police.
I remembered that my dad always kept the number of dpo of the closest police station on the wall of his room. I tore the paper off, called, and to my surprise the dpo picked on the first call. He asked for my address after I explained. He said good, my boys will be there. Within 5min police siren blew, then the robbers ran away.

Kudos to magodo isheri police. Although they asked me to pay to lodge the complain the next day which I knew was illegal

For a job well done, you would pay even if it's illegal. Secondly, after that incident, no one would visit you again.

You should understand that the word stuff is generic. It is not limited to instances of robbery where both criminals and victims have guns.

Oga it is better to have it even if it is just a shotgun than to have nothing. I knew someone back in the day that ended the lives of 4 robbers in my estate, all with a shotgun. Head the noice, waited for them to climb over the fence and then opened fire in them. Another fellow after beating him and his wife, lead him to his underground room to get his valuables, he was able to dash into a room quickly, grab his gun, unfortunately the robber got to him and grabbed the gun but from the barrel side, baba squeezed the trigger and blew out the man's stomach! The man ran shouting oti pami, his colleagues carried him and abandoned him down the road, he had taken the room temperature challenge. Years later that same baba that shot 4 dead, his son also came to the rescue of a neighboring house, just as this people were screaming for help in the video, he heard and came out, had a gun duel with the group of robbers, shot one dead and turned the foot of another to a stump.
I recommend arms be immediately legalized, not just shot guns but pistols, rifles etc. We now have a national database with bvn, Nin etc, licenses will be issued to properly vetted citizens.
