get out, Jonathan is just doing damage control because he's a man of peace, nothing good will ever come out of APC and Tinubu

Even after the truth, u still choose to deny the facts.
There is no fact to deny. You guys, laptop guys have already painted the image of being messiah to the former president. Now the former president has let us know he had options, that while you tinubu was still being sluggish towards saving the former president, the former president used his connection to secure his safety from another serious African state.

Still a shameful outing on the part of Nigeria.

His weakling nature is why we are where we are today.
What is the use being a good man when you are useless to your people and democracy at home.
Assuming all the people in opposition are in the character of this man we will not be breathing today.
If it were the other way round the people in government today will use it to discredit jonathan.
characters in the league of Reno and co will have dished hatred and propaganda to deceive light minded followers.
in a world of chaos and useless politics. It is good to be different.

The more lies we tell, the more words have no meaning. It is what has led us here where we distrust everything govt says and even now do not trust opposition politicans

When you have a govt that does nothing when its people are being killed you can’t blame them for the hatred.
A general killed like a chicken and the govt hasn’t done a thing.
Terrorists are making live videos and the govt can’t track and kill them but can track innocent citizens.
Terrorists kidnapped church members and the govt begged them to release them then came out to deceive gullible zombies like you that they rescued them only for the terrorists to embarrass them by saying they released them.
These are just a few reasons why not everybody can be stupid enough to support a useless govt like this unlike you who will not talk about their failures but will come out over issues like aircraft explanations.

Nigerians are largely illiterate or maybe they are just blinded by hate for Tinubu.

I have said it many times on this platform that majority don't know anything about geopolitics; they don't even understand Nigeria politics. It became even more evident when they started dragging the Senate and Akpabio yesterday for saying "they should enter prayers."

A former president was trapped in Guinea-Bissau after a coup and you think the FG won't activate back channels immediately with the coup plotters to allow GEJ exit their country. GEJ won't even need to call Tinubu before necessary steps are taken.

You shouldn't expect Nigeria going into Guinea-Bissau gun blazing either to take GEJ. Even if he was a former president of the USA. The USA won't enter gun blazing either. In US case, it could be a nation like Saudi Arabia helping with the rescue. There are rules of engagement in global politics.

It is this same illiteracy that made many think Trump will send troops into Nigeria to save Nigerian Christians. Lmaoo. South Africa that Trump claims is commiting genocide against Afrikaans, why didn't he send troops to SA to free them? Shebi in SA case, he claimed to have hard evidence that he even showed to Ramaphosa and the world at the White House.

A former president of Cote d'Iviore could have been trapped in nation like Mali. The Ivorian government might engage Nigeria to help pick up there former president since Nigeria is closer to Mali and the situation is time sensitive. That's how foreign politics works.

You would think a "journalist" who discuss politics everyday on national TV would know better.
In this case, it was Jonathan's call to Ivory Coast that did it.

You are either being dishonest or you're not seeing how this country has fallen so deep.

In Obasanjo's regime, this wouldn't have coke out like this. Nigeria's foreign policy is centred on Africa. This idea and geopolitical stance was last projected very well in the Obasanjo's regime and very weakly in Jonathan's regime. Since then many of the political illiterates who became presidents don't even know what that means, no respect or influence of Nigerian government even in tiny West Africa.

I believe Jonathan called the presidency first before calling Ivory Coast and the fact and if another country had already sent it's national airplane to life and Nigeria was still dillydallying when her president is there, it is monumental disgrace!!!

Does Nigeria not have an embassy in Guinea Bissau? If we cannot get a plane there quickly or permit to land one, it should be Nigeria using her diplomatic channel to use other countries to do so and not Jonathan himself using his own contact to call ivory coast to do so and then telling the Nigerian government not to bother.

When we lack election credibility and do not get into office properly, we will continue disgracing ourselves everywhere.

Disgraced country we were dubbed by Trump is for a reason not the alleged killing of Christians alone.

You think everyone is a dummy! If former president GEJ denies, you think there will not be proofs by the government to back themselves up. As a statesman, he did the right thing. He’s not like Gringory Peteru that plays politics with everything.
what proof, the Tinubu are not the conservative type, If Nigeria jet as much as left our terminal to go pick GEJ... You will see the post , they will release evidences

The only reason they are quiet and Jonathan is the One talking is becos they did nothing or have nothing ... naa see finish we know

GEJ took a lesson from the dead General in the forest waitin for rescue, let ask ourselves why wil Cote d'ivoire jet go pick former president of Nig. was it a coincidence or GEJ call on them
Wil GEJ call on cote d'ivoire if he had believe Nig. jet was in the air coming for him

We are not kids, we can read between lines, GEJ being a free soft person is just being economical with the truth

The real truth here is that Nigeria is no longer giant of africa courstsey of the APC government.
Whether francophone, lusophone or telephone Nigeria before is not what it is today .
If America can cross all the oceans ,deserts and come for her citizens who is less an official how about a Nigerian valued citizen who is just within Africa.
If Jonathan had died there you will be yapping (let me borrow your language)trash and be calling it truth.Shame
Was the FG sending a plane to get GEJ out? If yes ... then what's different from what America would've done for its important citizen? If there is an emergency in Nigeria and an important American citizen has to be evacuated ... the Nigerian FG contacts Ghana to send a plane to get him out ... the US learns about the emergency and is about to send a plane to get him out. Does it make sense to accuse the American government for not getting out its important citizen?

“I want to thank my President, President Tinubu, and the Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara. Both presidents were to send aircraft to lift us.”

Jonathan explained that logistical and diplomatic considerations influenced the decision: “Côte d’Ivoire is closer to Guinea Bissau, and there’s a relationship between Francophone and Lusophone countries, which enabled Côte d’Ivoire to get a landing permit before Nigeria could.”

He added, “So we asked the Nigerian government not to bother since the Ivorian aircraft had already arrived,”

But why are you telling the truth , na?
Putting these factors enumerated, can we say Nigeria can no longer be assumed the aggregation as the "Giant of Africa" just saying.

Somebody gave details of how difficult logistic are partulicularly Nigeria have no robust relationship with the Guineans and alternative was provided to avoid diplomatic rough edge yet you are not please. Do you all think you can just fly aircraft into any country without landing permit? You should have tell your Putin to land in Getmany or France or UK without landing permission and let's see na.
