As long as those in government have an alternative to good governance to get into power or retain power, the quality of leadership will continue to slide.

If I can bypass the meter of public scrutiny and citizen endorsement successfully there is no reason why I should pay the tariff of performance.

Everyone with a right thinking brain knows the present leaders realize Nigerians are totally fed up with their multi dimensional sufferings under this regime. That is why their strategists advised they shop for governors instead.

Have the governors, senators and reps on your team and the voting public doesn't matter. You have a complete set of tools to win by all means.

So Mr. Monday is merely replying air traffic control. That he is set to start his engines and taxi his craft for take off. So strap in folks. Post 2027 will be the wildest ride ever seen in this democratic experience.

After that no one will need to tell the average Nigerian the consequences of not knowing what real democracy entails and how it shapes nations. No one.
