Cromagnon:If you cannot struggle alone and make it on your own, what will adding more mouths(burdens) to your already stressed life do? Make una dey use una head abeg! 🥱🥱 2. Which population collapse? The world reached overpopulation levels back in 1970 when the population of the world crossed the 5 billion people mark. Since then, the only people that have benefited from the boom were corporations that need cheap slaves to make more money than they need. 🥱🥱 The last thing the world needs is more people. ![]() |

Wealthyonos:Marriage is not about wedding alone. In fact, wedding should be considered a small aspect of marriage. Life after wedding is what the Op is talking about. If two partners can sit down and discuss their combined income, each partner financial responsibilities and contribution towards the wedding and after the wedding, having kids immediately or to wait few years after the wedding to improve the income, and other stuff like how much to put into the house rent, etc. They're good to go |
| Re: Someone Earning 100k Naira, Should Not Consider Marriage by maasoap(m): 6:12pm On Nov 30, 2025 |
ibechris:You need to sit down and re-examine your finances and adjust because it looks like you are living above your means. What is your wife doing because you only mentioned your own income? It would be difficult for you to grow financially (saving/investing) this way unless there are some missing information about your income |
| Re: Someone Earning 100k Naira, Should Not Consider Marriage by maasoap(m): 6:29pm On Nov 30, 2025 |
ibechris:The truth is that many men will never marry or have children with the worsening economic situation. Many ladies/women will never get husband, may be single mothers. Single mothers are increasing anyway, at a frightening rate |

Kobojunkie: harjay1986:Wanting children or having them is a want, not a need. Needs are clear, simple and non confusing. Food, cloth, shelter, medical treatment and other compulsory things are needs, children are not one of them |

| Re: Someone Earning 100k Naira, Should Not Consider Marriage by Kobojunkie: 7:12pm On Nov 30, 2025 |
Lexusgs430:Traditional marriage is instead defined as a master/slave contract...that is how that so-called union is defined. 🥱🥱🥱 |

Kobojunkie:Only for those, who love to twist the narrative or take advantage of others...... 😉 Traditional, Registry or church, they all have same interpretations and applications...... |
| Re: Someone Earning 100k Naira, Should Not Consider Marriage by Kobojunkieee: 8:27pm On Nov 30, 2025 |
Lexusgs430:Registry marriages are partnership marriages by default, where the man and woman are equal partners in the marriage. In contrast, your traditional and church marriages are configured as the man as the head(master) and the woman as the subordinate/helper/slave to the man. So, you can see where you are wrong in assuming they are the same. ![]() |

SIRTee15:Smiles... What are they eating? 50k is more than enough to feed family of 3. I spent 100k on food stuff last month which is Oct, bought a bag of rice, beans, garri, noodles (for my child), palm oil, veg oil and I produce locally made semo and some other things (though, I planted 5 different types of vegetables in my compound, planted tomatoes and also rearing some birds). And we are also family of 3. We haven't eaten one quarter of the rice, we still have more of everything that'll last us till early or middle of February. Pls how many months is that if you start counting from October? So my brother, 50k is way more than enough for JUST FAMILY OF 3 to feed in one month. |

| Re: Someone Earning 100k Naira, Should Not Consider Marriage by Kobojunkie: 9:32pm On Nov 30, 2025 |
babajero:It is better to clock 80 with money in your account and you being able to live a life of less suffering with that money— having friends in your bracket, and your healthcare needs taken care of with your money— than to be 80, sick and miserable with all your kids struggling every day to eke out a living and your wife stressing you that there is no food to eat. 🥱🥱🥱 |

SpencerForbes:your probability of raising good kids and being a good husband without millions in account, is at a huge risk as there is no community around poverty |
| Re: Someone Earning 100k Naira, Should Not Consider Marriage by Aceed: 10:23pm On Nov 30, 2025 |
harjay1986:45k in 2016 is about $180 in 2016 which is almost 300k in 2025, using the current exchange rate be realistic |
| Re: Someone Earning 100k Naira, Should Not Consider Marriage by Nobody: 10:24pm On Nov 30, 2025 |
Aceed:If wealth alone guaranteed success, our society wouldn't be dealing with so many rich brats today. The evidence is overwhelming: the majority of our most successful leaders and innovators did not experience luxury at the early stages of their lives. If wealth was the key, figures like Elon Musk wouldn’t be having widely publicized issues with his own children. The truth is simple: an average family life coupled with proper training and solid values will always yield better results than a life of spoiled luxury and parental neglect. The latter can leads to individual failure and societal decay. How much is minimum wage and who told you a family earning 200k is poor?? |
