No. This is just social media posing. You think the average Nigerian will buy all these exotic high maintenance breeds that will be chopping expensive dog food?

It may seem like a joke but you're very correct. It has become increasingly difficult to see a pure breed Ekuke, especially in towns and cities. You can only find them in villages where the craze to water down them down with other breeds of dubious origins has not yet penetrated.

Personally, I haven't seen a pure bred in several years. The last pure breed I know was the one we raised ourselves, my beloved family dog Ruggedman who passed away in 2015 at the age of 16 years.

Dogs that will attack innocent citizens but run at the sight of bandits. To be honest, Nigerians are copy cats and see owning dogs as a projection of affluence, and not necessarily because they love them. For what it's worth, I hate dogs.

I love dogs,I have 2 good looking EKUKES BUT I'm not sure if am going to participate in that kind of event...coz some people may come with stubborn dogs that disobeys their owner some times

Exactly. The whole event is just a show of pomposity.
They're brandishing useless foreign dog breeds and ignoring our very own local breed.
Same way many Nigerians will happily brandish foreign cars, but ignore or Nigerian Innoson or Nord.
Same way Nigerian girls/women will happily brandish hair attachment of Indian women hair. But ignore their own hair on their head.
Nigerians have a serious image problem.
We hate ourselves, our own bodies and our own environment.
