Nigeria's chances of making it out of the group stage in the forthcoming Nations cup is very slim. They are either going to draw or lose to Tunisia & Uganda and probably draw against Tanzania. Tunisia & Uganda have strong h2h against Nigeria & they are still a very good sides. The two being whom they are, the eagles will struggle big time.
tunisia will be the only stumbling block. Tanzania and uganda should be guaranteed 6 points.

"Guaranteed 3 points", just like our WC qualification was guaranteed when we saw the group back in 2023 and wrote off Benin, Lesotho, Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The earlier we start thinking like minnows, the better for us. Nothing like guaranteed 3 points.

It was the wrong coaches that failed us,Even Chelle would have qualified us for WC with one game to spare, but NFF with their politics and their ineptitude refused to appoint the right coach at the right time.

Chelle is not a top class coach but he is decent enough to reach the AFCON final, possibly win it.
He is yet to loose a match, is it against Tanzania or against Uganda he would now start losing, I don't think so even though nothing is guaranteed.

The decisions the NFF makes after the AFCON both in terms of their leadership and the actions they take will show whether they are truly serious about rebuilding and improving this team. It’s obvious we are not winning this tournament, but what happens next is what really matters. If the NFF chooses to ignore the problems, sack only the coach, and keep the same old faces and failed structures in place, then we should be prepared for d worst outcome; qualifying for the 2030 World Cup will be very unlikely.

Winning AFCON is far more difficult than to qualify for WC,but it's still very possible for this very team but it looks like injury to the key players is going to be a problem.

As for the NFF, their next action will even be worse than before, no put your hope there,na the players effort and determination to succeed we dey bank on.
And the decision to inject the younger players and retaining old players is for the coach not even the NFF,if the coach believes he can still use only Iwobi and Ndidi in our midfield to win serious matches, that's his problem.

The issue with our coaches is that.
1. The are afraid if young players and innovative tactics. They are nit aware that we are too predictable to most opposing coaches and our players are good but a little overrrated. Even the tactics don't bring out tge best in the players. Also they underrated players not playing in the big 5 leagues. Players like sodiq awujoola and onuche ogbelu may be better. The issue is not really better but different. Players like that introduce a new style that opposing years don't expect. For example, if sodiq ismail is played as a winger his accurate crosses will stun opponents simply because they are not prepared fir him and were busy making lookman, cukwueze etc. It's just having an element of surprise. God is God because nobody can predict him. See anything that is too predictable can be defeated. Our tactics and pkayers are too predictable.
2. The underrated other african countries. Other African countries are also improving and tactically they are sometimes better. We may have better players but tactically, they are better. They just capitalise on our weaknesses while we are stck with only one strategy ther can read like a book. We are so predictable. Jus put 3 hardworking okayers in midfield. Then stifle iwobi and isimhen. That's all.
3. Tactics and team work defeats talent and where a player plays. Our coaches have to realize this. Football us a team spirt and not an individual game like lawn tennis.
4. Underrated players not in the top 5 leagues of Europe. This is a big mistake as the global football scouting system is not perfect. Players not I the top 5 leagues will always be needed in the national team. That us why I don't condemn them totally. They have a big role to play.

Everybody involved was complicit in our failure to qualify for this World Cup. Every single one of them. From the NFF's criminality that knows no limits, to the puzzling complacency of the players in the DRC game, the poorly timed boycott, Chelle's questionable tactics of ignoring Onyedika and Akinsanmiro, leaving our midfield without depth, as well as his obvious lack of preparation in the event of penalties.

This 2026 World Cup miss was in many ways far more painful to me than the one in Qatar. How can they be launching 48 teams at the mundial, in freaking USA (arguably the most popular place in the world), and Nigeria of all people isn't going for Pete's sake? With a squad that has Osimhen, Lookman, Fredericks, Chukwueze etc? I'm not sure I can ever get over this blunder until the next FIFA qualification cycle.

Anyways, the Super Eagles are condemned to win the AFCON this year, because that's literally THE ONLY WAY to atone for the World Cup miss. Whether they win it or not, it does nothing for me though. At best, it will just give me assurance of a bright future in the hands of Chelle (if the NFF will let him).

Personally, I would rather see a bunch of fresh new faces (especially in the midfield) at this AFCON and have 60-70% of the squad that played in the qualifiers dropped. Afterall, majority of them will miss out of the next World Cup due to age and/or retirement. We might as well start building a fresh team now before the next AFCON and WC qualifiers.

There is always a first time of something...thesame way we have never failed to qualify for WC back to back (2022&2026 failed woefully), the same way we have never failed to qualify for afcom back to back... But we bottled them all. 2015&2017(afcon failed dramatically)

So the chances of us not qualifying out group stage is their. Administrative problem plus players mindset make us go deep deep in the drain... Till we die and birth new sporting activities just keep enjoying the view

🔥 CAF AWARDS SHOCK! Nigeria didn’t just lose awards — Nigeria voted against Nigeria. 😡

🥇 Hakimi wins African Footballer of the Year; Salah in second place and Osimhen in third

🛑 Daniel Amokachi, voting as a CAF Technical Expert, placed Osimhen fifth

🛑 Nigeria’s media representative, Oluwashina Okeleji ranked Cameroon's Andre Onana ahead of Super Eagles goalie Stanley Nwabali

🛑 Okeleji left Bameyi out of his top five for Young Player of the Year (Men)

🛑 Another Nigerian media expert Samuel Ahmadu ranked Ajibade fifth and Okoronkwo third in Women’s Africa Player of the Year award category. (This one is so painful!)
✅ Even Morocco coach Jorge Vilda placed Ajibade ahead of Chebbak.

🛑 Ahmadu also placed Chiamaka Nnadozie fifth in the Goalkeeper of the Year category and ranked Shakirat Moshood fifth in the Young Player award (Women)

🛑 Even Nigeria’s Women’s National Team award was nearly affected as Ahmadu placed Tanzania first and Nigeria fifth.

Shocking scenes at Nice training ground last night. 400 fans were waiting for the team when they returned from Lorient after 6th straight loss. Fans got on bus to confront players. Terem Moffi & Jeremie Boga were attacked, badly beaten up, sporting director Maurice also targeted. RMC reporting that after getting off the bus, Moffi and Boga were subjected to racist abuse, spat on and punched multiple times in the face and private parts. Reports this morning that Nice coach Franck Haise is considering resigning (@Santi_J_FM) after fan attacks. Jeremie Boga and Terem Moffi do not want to play for the club again. Other players considering their futures too

Eric Chelle is said to be keen on the defender, who has been a revelation this season in England, due to the injury to Ola Aina and Benjamin Fredrick

DR Congo have released their fina Afcon list
26 players listed
NFF would cut cost by making ours 25
They’d then stress or overwork some players like Osimhen in the tournament
We have space for 26 o, our team lost that Afcon 2023 final due to fatigue if you ask me

Do you know why I'm not shocked with the action of Ahmadu most importantly? Because that's how some Nigerians mostly from a particular region always demarket and speak bad about Nigeria both online and offline, because some aspects of politics doesn't favour them. Sadly, these same people would still be the ones criticism Ahmadu that's just following their pathway.
Finally, I doubt this Ahmadu is truly a Nigerian, he might be from Niger or Chad claiming Nigeria because his level oh hatred from him is unexplainable.
For Omokachi not voting Osimhen, maybe he still has hatred for Osimhen because of Osimhen and Finidi fight
