And yet somehow he and his principal, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, are responsible for coordinating security operations against Boko Haram, against bandits, against multiple other terrorist groups and militant groups we have across the country. More troubling, as the governor of Zamfara state, he could not control the insecurity in his state. Under his leadership, Zamfara remained one of the most terrorized states in Nigeria. After failing to secure his state as a governor, he was put in charge of securing 36 states, including the FCT.

The reason why Tinubu appointed them is because his hands were tied due to the fact that many of them are staunch party leaders. Yet, Tinubu for who he is deliberately set them up as their loyalty to their terrorist brothers will be enough indictment to remove them.

This will give him the opportunity to appoint the right people he believes will handle the position effectively.

Now, Tinubu need to call for a Council of State Meeting and equally invite some critical stakeholder like the Sultan and tell them the truth that the partying is over.
He should let them know that the terrorist will be flush out henceforth and sympathiser will have question to answer

There was a general outcry against their nominations then even in the North but Tinubu still went ahead, just like he's about to do on Reno Omokri. You'll be back in two years to tell us Tinubu knows how bad their appointment will be but went ahead so everyone can agree with him when he decides to fire them. We cannot continue like this.

Most of these northern elements have sympathies for the cause of Boko haram. They are two faced. Jonathan Goodluck once talked about having Boko members in his cabinet.

Government hasn't been serious. Its been dancing skelewu with terrorists.

No matter how highly placed, anybody with traces of fanaticism and extremism and with any remote links with terrorists should have been jailed long ago.

Folks like the Pantamis and some former governors of Kanem Borno have questions to answer too..

I have always said it, and here I am repeating it — Nigeria cannot afford to have individuals from the same backgrounds as those implicated in the country’s insecurity challenges occupying sensitive security positions. The Americans are not as careless as the Nigerian government! The truth behind Nigeria’s insecurity is not far-fetched — Islam and Fulani are majorly fingered.

Why on earth does Nigeria have people from this same background – Fulani and Muslims as Defence Ministers and as the National Security Adviser? It is a misnomer! I personally have a soft spot for Malam Nuhu Ribadu — he is an upright man — but he also comes from that background. So, like Badaru and Matawalle, he may have to step aside.

This is the time for Nigeria to take its security architecture seriously — no room for sabotage!

This country is a joke, how can a country appoint defence minister and state defense minister who has no military experience, defense minister the sacked one and matawalle has no military experience what happened those generals in the army why appointing politicians or rewarding politicians with a sensitive position like this , tell me how security will improve, matawalle must go .
