Don't be surprised to find out that he is probably the one behind thwarting efforts to arrest or take out Bello Turji all this while since he has some of the bandits in his good books and who knows Bello Turji could be one of them. And that's coming from the current minister of state for defence.

What sort of contradiction is this? A bandit is always a criminal... simple! The Yansakai vigilance group he is taking about in the video are the indigenous Hausas of Zamfara State in Hausaland who were created to defend their land against foreign Fula militia bandits.

How can he (Matawalle) say that a bandit is NOT be a criminal? Does this guy understand the basic structure of English language at all or was he misquoted. He is a Fula by origin (just like Kwankwaso whose father was the Sarkin Fulani of Kwankwaso village, Ganduje, Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Sule Lamido, the Baba-Ahmed brothers who are originally Fulas of Mauritania) so I'm NOT surprised by his comments.

It's high time that the majority indigenous Hausas of all the Hausa States from Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Sokoto, Kebbi, etc, to be united, raise up credible indigenous Hausa politicians and NOT re-elect ALL the Fulas of foreign North African Berber origin who have planted themselves in the top political positions of government as Governors, Deputy Governors, Ministers, Senators, Emirs, etc, thereby denying the Hausawas of political power in their own Hausa homelands and in national politics. The insecurity in the North and Middle Belt States will NOT be solved as long as the minority Fulas who are supporting the foreign Fula militia bandits are NOT removed from office. Period.

Don't just judge by the headline.

His Hausa intinuation is the confusion.

He means that some of these community youths only armed themselves as vigilantes to protect themselves against those people who always come to attacked them.

That video interview of Matawalle speaking on Channels Television was done in 2021 BEFORE the now President 'Bola Tinubu came on board in May 2023 and he had to fulfill the Federal Character principle in his appointment as a Minister of State hence the use of this Matawalle the former Fula Governor of Zamfara State which is largely an indigenous Hausa State. Tinubu cannot be accused of weakness because he appointed Matawalle based on the Federal Character principle and of course he is in APC and the former Governor of Zamfara State experiencing foreign Fula militia banditry hence the use of the former Governor Matawalle was tactical to see if his influence could stop the Fula banditry.

During OBJ's first-term in office for instance, he had to appoint Ministers based on the politics of his PDP and the Federal Character principle BUT by the second-term, he appointed more technocrats in government. If he had ignored the political appointments he made during the first-term to appease the local politicians who helped him, he would have had it very rough in terms of stability and to be honest, that method is NOT the BEST. CREDIBLE folks should ALWAYS be in government from the very beginning. Period.

What’s self help called ? If their cows were rustled or whatever wrong was committed against them , why not making formal report to the relevant authority, why taking arms and ammunition under the guise of taking revenge. Is that not a criminal act?
