So throughout the entire period that the SIM was with the kidnappers, DSS couldn’t trace or arrest them. But the moment the criminals dumped the SIM and an innocent citizen unknowingly bought it, they suddenly mobilised and swooped on him like he’s the mastermind. How does this even make sense? This country will frustrate and jail you for crimes you didn’t commit, while the real perpetrators walk free. |

| Re: Man Arrested After Buying A Recycled SIM Used By Kidnappers by Hismercy234: 10:27pm On Dec 03, 2025 |
Very simple case, get evidence when you bought it from the system and when the kidnapping was carried out. You don't need an expert lawyer to win this. |

But PATANMI was shouting NIN was compulsory and an identification model that is bulletproof. We know the people that supported the failed project. They are still the same people claiming to love NIGERIA, but only to grab, snatch and runaway with it . Imagine buying NIN details for #100 on the internet, but same details when active can't be used to track Terrorists in the bush. Losers |

Nigeria has a way of messing people up, and most of us and our institutions are complicit in it. Yes, the man could have made an innocent mistake by buying the sim card by the roadside but then how did those SIM card find their way to the roadside? Who are those roadside sellers representing? If the SIM were to be fake or unauthorized why would the SIM registration sail through and be approved? I hope DSS does its work thoroughly... Again, this is a lesson for us all to always follow the proper channel no matter how long and tedious it may be. |

When the SIM was with the kidnapper, they couldn't track it. What a useless country. It's very simple, network provider will show the date of registration to new user and confirm the last call of the old user (kidnapper). Finish! |
| Re: Man Arrested After Buying A Recycled SIM Used By Kidnappers by Brightest04(m): 10:35pm On Dec 03, 2025 |
Alright, the kidnappers could not be arrested, but the innocent man who brought the sim without the knowledge of who was the original owner Abi? Infact since the knew it formerly belongs to kidnappers why can't they go after the kidnappers since they knew the former owners identity |

This is the fault of the network provider... Not the security agencies. There is no sector that is working in Nigeria... The system everywhere is so chaotic. Things like these can't even happen in small African countries like Togo, benin or Ghana. And we call ourselves the giant of Africa! |
