Where am I being verbally offensive? You don start naw.

In basketball, height is a baseline and not the defining factor.

What you’re saying is just not making sense cos if physicality was key we should have seen the trend long ago. It’s not today that players became physical. Africans play physical football but the World Cup stats keeps on getting worse.

As a fan of French National team playing style I kinda understand your point but it is misplaced and wrongly put. Speed and stamina is important but so is long passing, attacking technique, tactical awareness and positioning. Saying it is becoming more about physicality is wrong. You’re not noticing the strong tactical play then.

Is Arsenal with all their black players playing football dominated by physicality? Arsenal is still heavy on their build up play.
I am talking of with respect to tactical evolution. The man to man pressing strategy is now the best way to nullify the strength of coordinated positional play. From my perspective, I see it becoming mainstay in tactical defending. And I see the demand of such profile of players which will suit more of blacks. Hence a growth in the call for black players in top teams.

So it is a development trajectory and not something that has been main stay.

Arsenal is the key driver of the man to man pressing defending strategy. Off the ball, is when the demand is needed and Arsenal dominates with physicality.

He has tried. I know hindsight is 50/50, but it would have been more impactful if he retired after the last AFCON after finishing as the best player from that tournament. He'll still be missed now regardless but I'm just saying...

Will Troost ekong be named amongst the 5 best defenders to ever play for Nigeria . Wish he had retired after the previous Afcon. That last minute equalizer against Zimbabwe and the own goal versus South Africa will linger on for a long time. Wait until the World Cup approaches next summer for Nigerians to really feel the pain . Iwobi , Moses Simon the old young man, Wilfred Ndidi , ajayi, and osayi Samuel please follow suit and announce your retirement

Calvin bassey is my unanimous favorite and choice for future captain of the national team. The passion and zeal displayed when he leaped to score that header in South Africa warmed my heart towards him. Of all the foreign bred players he is my favorite . Look-man is too selfish with his fake humility.

I will always appreciate Ekong for his dedication to the team. He’s a great example and model for all foreign born players. He gave all in his prime. I will miss his personality, aura and fine spoken accent as Eagles captain. Cheers to Ekong!

There is a high probability that Ekong was not named in the 28-man list, prompting his exit from the national team and international football.
He should bow out honourably rather than be ridiculed shamefully.

Na today una know NFF?.

Can you mention the players that'll comfortably replace the said players in their current roles in the SE?

ebenezer akinsanmiro, sanni suleiman, onuche ogbelu, benjamin fredericks, a nigerian defender in austria (i have forgotten his name sounds lik aiwu), alebiosu (that chelle just called up), emmanuel chukwu (in the same austrain league).

Philip Otele’s 7th goal of the season in all competitions helps FC Basel on their way to a Swiss Cup Round of 16 victory.

I don't think so but he did well especially on his goal ratio though still had own goals like Yobo in eagles but talking about defenders with all round displayed for eagles he will not make my all time best five.....my best five are Christian Chuckwu, Stephen Keshi,Uche Okechuckwu,Taribo West and Joseph Yobo

With Benjamin not available, Ekong will surely make the 28-man list.
There was a report by scoreNigeria almost 2 weeks ago that Ekong may boycott AFCON due to his contract with his Saudi club

https://scorenigeria.com.ng/exclusive-why-ekong-will-not-be-at-2025-afcon/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

I can easily believe this is the main reason for the training boycott before the Gabon game, to force the NFF to pay all what they were owing before AFCON and before his retirement

So want the coach to completely replace experienced professionals with U-21 players who are barely just starting their careers.

Aiwu is an Austrian and might have issues switching to the SE as Austria typically doesn't allow dual citizenship except in certain cases, it's the same issues Tobias Lawal had.

The same ones you all are clamoring for are still the ones Nigerians will abuse after a few games, like they've abused Ekong into retirement.

E sha no concern us.

If it will benefit any team that didn't qualify, it will only be the ones who at least made it to the inter-confederation playoffs, of which we're not even among.
