Kwara State Government @followKWSG

Kwara State Governor @RealAARahman visited the training ground of the newly recruited 2,600 additional forest guards in Ilorin, the capital of the State, to assess the quality of their ongoing multifaceted training.

The governor used the visit to encourage the prospective guards and their instructors, a move that reflects his administration’s continued commitment to improving the security of lives and property across the state.

His presence at the facility is expected to further lift the morale of the trainees and reassure residents, especially those in communities affected by recent threats, that concrete steps are being taken to enhance safety and restore calm in rural areas.

Officials at the training centre noted that the recruits have shown steady progress since the programme began, adding that the hands-on sessions are preparing them for field operations once they are deployed.

The AbdulRazaq-led administration maintains that it is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to stabilise the troubled parts of the state. So far, over 700 forest guards have been recruited, trained in basic military tactics, and are now working alongside security agencies to strengthen surveillance and combat security challenges.

While the military continues to clear the ungoverned forests, the forest guards will complement their efforts by ensuring that the reclaimed areas remain unsafe for criminal elements.

This coordinated approach is aimed particularly at preventing bandits and kidnappers from returning to hideouts previously used to launch attacks on innocent residents.

WHAT IS MY REWARD, FOR THOSE THAT STRIVE FOR THIS FEAThuh

This is a commendable step by Governor AbdulRazaq in strengthening security across Kwara State. The recruitment and intensive training of 2,600 additional forest guards show a clear commitment to protecting vulnerable communities. His visit to the training ground will no doubt boost morale and reassure residents that the government is taking proactive measures. With the guards complementing ongoing military operations, the strategy promises more effective surveillance and sustained control over reclaimed areas. This coordinated approach is exactly what is needed to keep bandits and kidnappers from regaining any foothold.

Isn't this a big scam by politicians? That money to empower people ,make their thoughts people lazy , avoid security problems for government, they rather arm a few into the forest to their deaths, to protect their stolen wealth.

This is not helping the masses. Its securing politicians so they can continue doing what they do best. Rubbish

If they had given people whats rightfully theirs, will all these be happening?

You only attacking the symptoms of your corruption and you call this solution?

😆😆😆
I laugh in sabongari

The man has been in government for nearly 6 years and has done next to nothing to protect his people. Did it have to come to a full invasion before these useless people woke up?

This is the way to go. Please equip them with highest sophisticated rifles, surveillance and attack drones, night vision goggles and hidden cameras for forest monitoring.

We must not give any room for Muslim terrorists anywhere in Nigeria.

And please make sure forest guards for each LGA is only made up of indigenes of that community. Don't follow Nigerian Police and Army nonsense recruitment style of bringing someone from Borno to head Police in Abia where they intentionally enable Fulani terrorists to overrun their posting state.

Make it fully indigenous so that they will work with their hearts to protect their communities and family members

I hope they're indigenes of the state because what I'm seeing here don't look like Yorubas or natives of the state. They look like people causing the problem itself.
