Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi and Ivorian star Jeremie Boga have been given a leave by OGC Nice after fans attacked, racially abused and also beat them up. Boga got punch€d and hit in private areas while Moffi got punch€d, kicked, had his hair pulled, and needed the help of his goalkeeper, Yéhvann Diouf, to get out of the crowd and safely inside the club's building. Both players who are currently at the hospital have already decided to leave the club following this incident. Source Mansa Sports

opes:He bowed out honorably. What if he were told by an insider that his name was not on the final 28-man list? I recall vividly how the NFF labeled most of the senior team players in the Mali 2002 AFCON as 'mafians' and disbanded the team before the World Cup. The NFF was going to get payback, as it was allegedly reported that many top guns of the cabal in the NFF were displeased with him and some other senior players. There are some untouchable players for now in the team, but he was probably not going to make the list. It has happened to several players who spoke up against the injustices they suffered from the NFF, including Leon Balogun recently, alongside many Super Falcons players. He was voted MVP in the last AFCON, decided to quit 2 weeks to another tourney with the absence of Fredrick, Ola in defense. Who does that? Which National team captain quits before a major tournament? Why did he not retire immediately after the playoffs? Why did he not tell the Coach to leave him out of the Shortlist? Which player will want to sit out a tournament that is being watched across the globe? Some players will fake being injured just to make their team. Some players will play with injuries in the Afcon. Ekong played with injury, same with Sanusi ,Ola Aina and many others in the last AFCON This is the hand of Esau and the voice of Jacob. Something is not right somewhere. |

CornOak:really scary when you realise that this guy has the probability of ending up as our highest goal scorer but no world cup appearance. Would be 33/34 by the time saudi arrives. Will he be good enough by then? |

Amedino99:Mathematically, there's actually plenty of time for Osimhen. By 2034, he'll be 36 at the most. Ronaldo is in his 40s and still gunning for one last shot at World Cup glory. Osimhen will be at the absolute peak of his power for the 2030 World Cup (if we don't bottle qualification again). 2-3 years younger than Messi was for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. So I guess that's a good thing. Saudi will likely be his last ever World Cup appearance. Depending on his form by then, he might even keep starting games, especially if there's still no one else to carry the mantle of super striker for the national team by 2034. Worst case, he'll be coming off the bench. It all comes down to what Osimhen wants for himself and whether his form appreciates or depreciates over time. |

I don't know if it's the awkwardness of not qualifying, but there's so many drawn-out, cringey jokes and banter at this draw ceremony from the anchors. Like can we just get to the groups already? You lot aren't that funny. 🤦🏾♀️ |

BascoVanVeli:Is this the Osihmen Vincent Aboubakar saying he doesn't know what else to do with the ball but score? That goal had more to do with what Osihmen did with that ball than scoring. Osihmen just has a way of shutting the mouth of his critics, sha! |
