You can remove duplicate documents eg if you have mybankstatement tickets, there is no need to add the regular bank statements that has over a 100 pages. You can remove irrelevant documents, in this case you can take out what you think is not adding value to the application. If I am managing size, I can take out the MEMAT of a company if I have the CAC certificate, Forms CO2/CO7 or Status Report. Alternatively, you can split the POF file, and add the excess to the Client Information file, ensure you point the Visa Officer to it and label it properly. All the best. kiiiingggggg99: |

ATTAHDYE:Are you sure mybankstatement works? Chatgpt said it’s better to upload the full bank statement instead of that. And are you sure if I upload mybankstatement ticket they will be able to access the it? |

Hi great people, please I would appreciate your thoughts and advice so I don't make mistakes. I am seeking to apply for masters admission in Canada Mph for fall 2026. I will be using a loan for my tution fees. Please can this fly if I apply for study permit? What is the status of visa approval for one with a study loan? Will it be worth it? Any advice or previous experience in this so I don't miss it. Thank you in advance |

Please House, I need urgent help! I am currently applying for my Canadian study permit, and I am sponsoring myself with additional financial support from my cousin. I have CAD $42,000 in my personal savings, and my cousin has an AXA Mansard investment balance of ₦83,000,000. I also have all the supporting documents to prove our family relationship. My confusion is about what amount to declare as my total available funds. Should I: 1. Combine my full savings with his full investment balance, OR 2. State that he will be supporting me with ₦40,000,000, even though his sponsorship letter does not specify any amount? His sponsorship letter simply states that he will be supporting me financially but does not mention a specific figure. I am unsure how to present this properly in my Proof of Funds and Letter of Explanation. Please, I need guidance. |

anyanchinye:Before you think of what option to go for This is how IRCC may view your application: (1) Do you and your cousin share the same surname? (2) Why is your cousin going out of his way to sponsor you in any way? (3) Do you and your cousin have any established documentation proving your relationship? (4) Has your cousin sponsored your education in the past, and do you have receipts or school records to prove it? The best approach is to let your sponsor pay the 15% first-year tuition fee (often called the “acceptance fee”) to establish that your cousin is financially committed. Make sure the funds come directly from his account so you can use his statement of account that as proof. He also has to extablsh how he got that funds.. and all that Use this to help establish a genuine relationship; otherwise, IRCC may not take the application seriously if you present your uncle as your financial sponsor. |

amnotapervert:can a sibling co-sponsor a family of 4? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Profgordons(m): 1:12am On Dec 08, 2025*. Modified: 3:18am On Dec 10, 2025 |
anyanchinye:What are you going to study and how much is the total cost of your studies? Have you paid your tuition? Is your cousin willing to pay your full tuition or the part that makes the balance of what you have and the CAD you have, are you willing to send to a GIC account after paying your tuition? Also what are your home ties, outside your savings, what must bring you back to Nigeria? If these are not addressed, with the current IRCC, your chances of a refusal are higher than an acceptance. |

When going for biometrics does vfs request actually usd currency or I can pay in naira? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by ATTAHDYE(m): 12:49pm On Dec 08, 2025 |
You have already paid for the biometrics when you submitted the visa application. JUst book your appointment and go and do your biometrics, don't pay anybody at VFS kiiiingggggg99: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 2:59pm On Dec 08, 2025 |
ifeanyija:Yes, a sibling can co-sponsor, but IMO the real question you need to answer for IRCC is why your sibling whether single or married would want to co-sponsor a family of four when they already have their own responsibilities. Unless they have significant financial capacity or there is a proven record of supporting you over the years with evidence, IRCC may question the genuineness and sustainability of the sponsorship. |

This proposal to have your sibling co-sponsor you and your family of 4 is going to be the weak link to this application. Maybe, you can share with us what your tuition fee is and how many years your program is so that we can help you calculate the minimum POF you will require. I am thinking that, your sibling can help by using her funds to pay off your tuition fee for a whole year and set up a GIC for YOUR living expenses. The N70m that you mentioned, will be more than enough to take care of the living expenses of the remaining 3 family member. ifeanyija: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by ifeanyija: 8:08pm On Dec 08, 2025 |
ATTAHDYE:tuition for a year is 16k cad, program is 2 years, it's just to proof we have enuf fund and stable income from sibling who has been supportive. There is lumpsum of 10m from sibling, also she is to support tru out the program. |

Hello, is it normal not to get correspondence from IRCC two months after submitting the requested medicals. On the application tracker, it shows only the background verification section is still in progress with everything else completed. I want to ask if there is anything i can do at this point. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 8:37pm On Dec 08, 2025 |
ifeanyija:That’s good. Now, the best thing you can do is let your sibling pay your acceptance fee directly from their account so it clearly shows the payment came from them. I know the acceptance fee is usually around 15% of the first-year tuition. Make sure your sibling provides proof of income, tax returns from their country, and proof of residency. They should also explain that you are their younger sibling, you have always wanted to pursue the program you are applying for, and they want the best for you. That’s why they are co-supporting your studies in Canada. They should clearly state the exact amount they are giving you and show that they paid your acceptance fee to demonstrate their financial capability. Their 6-month bank statement should also reflect the acceptance fee payment. This makes the application much easier. for co-sponsorship I wish you all the best |

nadesh:Some colleges prefer or require international applicants to use visa or recruitment agents that are based in the applicant’s country of residence. If you send an email to that address, the school will give you a list of agents approved by the college that you can contact. but ask them they know better than anyone here https://www.fanshawec.ca/fanshawe-education-partners-list |

I received my PPR on November 7, and I submitted my passport to VFS Lagos on November 10. On November 11, I got a notification that it had been sent out, but since then, I haven't received any updates. Please note that I renewed my passport, so it's different from the one I used to apply. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?. It’s been 4 weeks now since I submitted. |
