Missing out on the world cup has really killed my enthusiasm for the AFCON....

I can't even remember who are in our group or when is our first game, lol

The Super Eagles were given the second chance when 3 points was deducted from South Africa, they failed to take an advantage of that.
Again they were given the third chance to qualify through play off, they failed again.

Do you guys still think that if another chance is presented to these same players, they would do everything possible to qualify?

These players don't seem to understand what it means to give your all and make sure a task is accomplished.

The people giving us this glimmer of hope to be tortured with an agonizing 90 minutes again should just let us be,let us focus and watch AFCON in peace.

I'm seeing news on Facebook that tosin adarabioyo has decided to play for Nigeria. Is it a confirm news.

I still cannot get over Ekong's errors against Zimbabwe and SA. He is directly responsible for two goals we conceded and two matches we failed to win. Perhaps if Ekong had retired after the AFCON like QJ posted and someone else played in his stead, the story would have ended differently.

As for Ndidi, I cannot forget his misplaced shot one-on-one against the Zimbabwean goalie, how he got in Chukwueze's way and fluffed the chance for our second goal against DRC and his failed interception of the ball that led to DRC's goal. Also, its unfathomable to me that the team will play 7 PKs and Ndidi will not step up to take any. That's extreme cowardice and failure of leadership.

I wish Ndidi will follow Ekong and announce his immediate retirement but unlike Ekong, Ndidi is Nigerian born and raised, and has our typical agidi mentality and siddon tight attitude so the chances of that happening is 0. Anyhow sha, make hin retire after AFCON. 71 caps with no goals in a 10 year period playing for the Super Eagles is a piss-poor record.

I am still gutted by our failure to qualify for the World Cup. Last week I clicked "not interested" on videos about the World cup draws in my IG feed and TikTok FYP to mute and rearrange the content algorithm.

I've got no enthusiasm for the world cup. No enthusiasm for performance of our players abroad. The world cup miss really waned my enthusiasm for the National team. Perhaps that will change when the AFCON starts.

The only team I am looking forward to watching is the Super Falcons, and Coach Madugu better not mess that up with his biased invitation/selection, exclusion of certain in-form players and the home-based quota thing he's doing.

Yes, I had always hammered it here for years that Ndidi is veey poor. Him and Iwobi are the reasons SE has been poor for years. But , like you said he will not retire because that's all he got. Without SE Ndidi will be forgotten because his club career is winding down.

The best is for the coach or NFF to retire Ndidi and other underperforming players. Unlike Ekong, Ndidi won’t just quit. Ekong will always be referred to as the acting captain because, up till today, Musa has never officially announced his retirement from the team.

Such daft and childish immature entitlement mentality. I get that the World Cup loss comes with emotions but some of y'all need to seriously grow up. Allow kids to throw tantrums.

They didn't make a lot of noise, played good football and won so why're you hating?
The same way some of these no!sy African sides didn't grow up but rather mocked Nigeria is the same way I will root for their opponents in the final stage of the Continental World Cup Qualifiers and the World Cup itself.

I will gladly m0ck any African side that fails especially DR Congo, Ghana and South Africa.

Prepare for my payback ok

Very well said sir.

If they want to root for other African teams at the World Cup, that's their cup of tea. But they shouldn't expect us to join their bandwagon.

We see it here on a regular basis how aliens invade this thread to poo on us whenever we fall short in any competitive games. Why shouldn't I repay the favor and root for their downfall?

I wish none of them well. Only African team I would have rooted for if a gun were pressed to my head is Cape Verde, but they ended up in the shark tank with Spain, Uruguay and a promising Saudi team led by Herve Renard who beat Argentina and Ivory Coast (recently). Cape Verde might as well not have qualified because they may not get a single point from that group.

Na that England vs Ghana game I wan watch. With the number of diaspora Nigerians in the current English squad, that game will be like a beta version of the jollof derby. And if you even stop to think about that, England is really the only major team that is technically representing us at that World Cup because they have the highest number of Nigerian foreign borns in their squad.

The way France pack Senegalese foreign borns in their team is the same way England pack our Nigerian foreign borns. So basically England na our second squad. 😁

Please, you guys should cry more

I have not drank enough tears

I sang this gospel years ago, consistently if I might add, and I was tagged a hater

Even if the NFF did all they could, your players are below average, non-patriotic bunch bar osimhen

NowI see many of my then detractors crying

Cry more please

And this AFCON, you would still perform badly. I am not satisfied with the tears. I need a bad AFCON as an icing on the cake grin grin grin grin grin grin
