I don't understand. Are you saying it was the JWs that sponsored the researches,or did the research themselves, or gave the bloodless surgeries?
Btw, not all surgeries can be bloodless. It's usually the cold cases that are. The emergencies are bloody and YOU MUST HAVE Blood
Go and check my screenshot and check the dictionary meaning of " INFLUENCED".
Meaning while it seems you are the same guy changing moniker.

Yes evolution is a mainstay of science. And no,majority of scientists aren't christians. And even the Christians don't let their beliefs interfere with their scientific research
The same guy LordReed coming with a different moniker. What a pity!
Yes they believe in evolution infact they founded it. Are you happy now?

See who is talking about reading comprehension. You show me where I was talking about blood transfusion. The OP clearly states the person was given CAR T-Cell therapy and you come on here arguing blindly about blood transfusion. Go back to primary school to learn how to read properly.
What is the title of the post? Are the people commenting not making comments about JW and blood transfusion?
You don't even know the title of the post that you are commenting on. Thueeeh! I am done with you.

You are dellulu! You said that he "rejected doctors" which means he rejected any form of doctors treatment but he has been on other treatments by the same doctors.
You didn't say "he rejected option of blood transfusion by doctors you said he rejected doctors"
You don't even understand your own comment.
What a pity!
Don't struggle to make sense

She rejected doctor's advice isnt the same as She rejected any form of doctor's advice

Now, who is struggling with comprehension here grin

This shows how d@ft you are. You didn't read the actual OP but came to make useless arguments about blood transfusion which was not part of anything I said.

Not only did you not read the OP but once you realised what the actual OP says instead of you admit your error you doubled down. That makes you d@ft and stvpid.

I have had a heated debate with your member here Mad.Max. This procedure does not work for every patient, and even if the patient is eligible for the procedure, it may not be available or too costly. This Epo you talked about wouldn't work for acute blood loss example for a woman who had a baby and is bleeding profusely in Post Partum Hemorrhage. This is the commonest cause of maternal mortality and it's due to JW blood refusal. Also if a patient has had an accident and bleeding from major vessels like femoral, only a transfusion would save him. Same with babies with severe jaundice. Exchange blood transfusion is the only savior. Also Epo is about 30k (if it's available) and one needs several shots for blood loss of 1 pint, not to mention that it works after weeks

So yes, blood transfusion is STILL a mainstay in management of blood loss globally
@jaephoenix

I CLEARLY stated on this thread that I'm NOT a member (or an adherent) of JW. Just as I stated, it was back in the 1990s via an AWAKE magazine published by the JWs that I FIRST got to know about non-blood transfusion alternatives such as EPO, so I had to do some more research on the Internet on EPO and other alternatives back then in the late 1990s.

Second, based off of your insights here, I appreciate your extra layers of CLARITY and insights into this blood transfusion OR NO blood transfusion alternatives topic. My primary concern and interest in these alternatives to blood transfusions though has to do with the many cases of reported infections of unsuspecting folks in some countries of the world with HIV, Ebola, Lassa Virus, hepatitis variants, etc, through improperly screened blood
. So many people have been known to get wrong genotype results from some diagnostic labs (due to human errors or the use of expired reagents) so getting second or third opinions from more credible diagnosis labs become important.

It's important for folks to choose wisely when thinking of taking blood transfusions and alternatives as well because there are PROS and CONS in every situation. The prerogative to choose wisely is on everyone.

Cheers.

I apologize for the misconception. I used to read AWAKE too,I admit. It's quite educative but I guess the JW folks have some other darker sides.
Now in medicine, we always weigh the benefits and risks. If the benefits outweigh the risks, then we stick with it. If the risks outweigh the benefits, we chuck it. Blood transfusion benefits outweigh the risks. What we do is we try to make is as safe as possible. For example in Lagos state, they made it a law that EVERY blood given to a patient must come from a Lagos state approved blood bank. The blood is screened and re-screened for safety. In fact since I started practicing here, i have NEVER seen a blood bag without their tag and number. And we always note the number and verify. I have never heard or seen of any patient with blood borne infections here. I know there are measures in other places. Of course there is the negligible margin of human error which happens in any human endeavor but there's nothing we can do about it. And I have never heard of Lassa,Ebola being transmitted via transfusions.
So yes blood transfusions are safe. Ignore the JW maniaccsxs
