Next time, just pour cold water on her, and watch the miracle that will happen. After watching the video, I must confess that the girl is a fantastic actress. Her plan to skip classes for that day worked.

My only concern is the man in the video. I noticed he was using style to hug the girl affectionately, under the guise of preventing her from falling. sad sad sad

I wouldn't have commented, but so much ignorance is going on here as intelligence but these are raw olodos. For clarity, my grandfather is a native doctor versed in traditional worship but we go to the Anglican church with my father. My brother always goes into a trance and is taken to native doctors for a solution. On several occasions, I summon courage and strength to tie him down, hold him, and sometimes we will use local palm kernel oil to rub him all over to calm the spirits down. This happened consistently until my father gave his life to Christ and became a new creature. He now took him to the Pentecostal church where they prayed for him, and that was the end, it's now forty years, he is free, and this has never repeated.

This is a spiritual problem and requires a spiritual solution.
So many ignoramus on this thread! It's really worrisome!
Only someone who has gotten a first-hand experience will acknowledge that trance is real.
People call it familiar spirit, ancestral spirit or other fanciful name but one thing is clear: trance is not religious biased.
It happens everywhere the spirit is entertained.

As for what she is going through, some of us that are used to to things like this will understand it better so no need to argue about it but when I see people that understand it I will surely quote them just as I quoted that dude ...
Quote me, we could share experience.

Youre wrong on that, its not demon possesion or the kind of church. Its just uncontrolled attention seeking behaviour, which may appear abnormal or normal to others, depending on where your belief lies. If you go through history you would see same in all denominations

Time is like a movie episode, the whole movie already exists, but you only see it episode by episode.

How we perceive time in this our reality is episode by episode, we can't go back to previous episode, which is the past. We can't skip to next episode, which is the future.
We are only able watch or experience the current episode we are on, which is the present.

Now, in a reality where time is non-linear, we can go back to previous episodes, and can also skip to episodes we have not watched.

It means we can go back in the past, the present, and also the future.
Don't you think such reality is a truer and advanced reality? Do you think that where the Gods lives, which makes them to see the past, the present and the future?

It debatable. But scientifically, time is non-linear.

So a reality where time is non-linear, for me, its where the true nature of reality lies. Not this thing we are experiencing here.
So in essence you believe in life after death(assumably the non-linear time you're talking about and if not specify it)or scientific time travel being a possibility?.

I believe in afterlife, but my believe doesn't determine if it's real or not.

Many atheists depend on mainstream scientific explanations and basic human logic to disbelief or self-disprove the afterlife.

But little do they know that science has not even disproved the afterlife, they simply don't just know.

Shockingly, there are scientific theories about the possibility of an afterlife.
One of the most popular theories is the Quantum Consciousness
This is the closest thing to a scientific afterlife theory.
Idea:
Consciousness isn’t just brain chemistry, it may involve quantum processes inside microtubules in brain cells.
If true, then:
Consciousness might not depend only on the physical brain.
Quantum information could survive physical death.
Roger Penrose ( Nobel Prize in physics ) supports this model.

Why people link it to afterlife:
Quantum information cannot be destroyed (per quantum theory).
So some argue this “information” could persist after death.
Though, it's highly controversial.
Not proven.
Not ruled out.

As for whether time travel is a possibility, the simple answer is Yes.
If time is truly non-linear, then time travel becomes possible in the physics sense, even if humans can’t do it.

Imagine in the year 300BC, humans debating if radio waves is possible? They simply wouldn't know since they didn't have the technology to detect or understand it, but radio waves were there.
Humans today may not be able to travel in time because they don't have the technology, or that our dimension doesn't support the experience, who knows? But time travel is part of nature.

So when people disbelief in God and afterlife, it's not because they have understood much, they are following basic human knowledge. I have been there..

Firstly...not believing in Afterlife doesn't require any evidence as it's like or it's closer to being natural and/or neutral.....the burden of evidence lies upon those who make the claims and view it as facts.

Secondly....if you're a believer in God (especially Abrahamic religion) then you shouldn't be a believer of "Time travel" .....Time travel will most likely nullify the concept of God depicted by the belief systems mentioned above.....if mortals could achieve such then they could shape and influence the future which will someone expose the concept of God depicted by those religions....or what do you think?. undecided .

If you don't believe in afterlife, no right thinking person would ask you to provide evidence that made you not to believe.
And neither would you dismiss something you don't know for certain.

Firstly, when someone believes in something, the burden of prove doesn't lie upon them. Because to believe is to accept the existence of something without empirical evidence.
So you can't ask a believer to give you evidence.

Secondly, Time travel doesn't conflict with the concept of God. As a matter of fact, it amplifies it.
We actually time travel in other realities, such as in our dreams.

In our dreams, we can go back in time, be in the present, and even go into the future. But it's limited.
Some people can see an event that will happen in January through their dream, they would live it first in their dream. it means they travelled into the future, they only difference is that they can't do so when they wake up in real life. God allow people travel into the future through dreams.
If humans develops a technology that can allow us time travel, it would even make us understand the concept of God better.

The Abrahamic religion you cited isn't about describing the fundamental aspect of God, it was more about history, laws, what and what not to do.
There is more to God, than the history of middle eastern ancestors and the laws given to them.

You can ask for evidence about beliefs that aren't default....for instance no human was born with certain religious beliefs by default they were thought and if they declare that what they were thought is the "absolute truth" then there is a burden to provide evidence/proofs to back such claims.

Also, prophetic abilities and/or the ability to see revelations (past or future) has been in existence for a long as humanity and can hardly be put in the same category as the scientific time travel we're talking about here..... Scientific time travels entails humans using their knowledge to build a device that can take them at will to any timeline and ot course to could change anything in that timeline at will which will in essence make anyone of those who wield such tool "godlike".

And also..... it would seems like you're not a believer of Abrahamic religions then because if you do then you should know better than to believe in time travel.

why are we not currently seeing time travellers from the future, does it mean we aren't going to be able to build it?
Could it mean it's not something we can experience in this timeline or reality? I mean our current 3D, since our current biology is limited to space and time?

Leave Abrahamic religion, the concept of God is bigger than any religion.

Time travel remains a possibility as human knowledge/science has proven to increase with time.

Good thing you're of the belief that God is bigger than religion and you've also clarified that you're not a believer of one of those Abrahamic religion because that was what I wanted to clarify..... believing in such religion doesn't go hand in hand with such deep scientific possibilities like transfer of consciousness ,Time travel,DNA modification et al you know.

I'm a Christian, and there is no conflict between scientific possibilities and Christianity.
It's just that many people aren't able to reconcile them because of their limited understanding of science.
Firstly, Christianity is a way of life and not a handbook for the fundamental aspect of nature. It's just like comparing your physics textbook to your History book and constitution.

Science is like your physics textbook, while bible is like our History and constitution merged together, one doesn't disprove the other, they can compliment each other to make us live a better life.
While the constitution guides our morality, Physics makes us understand our environment better for our good, no conflict.

That the Bible didn't talk about time travel and genetic engineering doesn't mean it's against it.
God is a scientist.

Nope.....you're wrong.... science does disapprove to Bible to some extent.

For instance...this world is millions-billions of years old scientific but around 6000+ yrs old biblically so which do you stand with if you're a scientist and also a dedicated believer?. undecided .

The Bible does not state that the world is 6,000 years old. That number comes from human calculations, especially Bishop Ussher in the 1600s, who added up biblical genealogies.
These genealogies are not precise chronological records, so the 6,000 year figure is interpretation, not scripture. Many modern Bible scholars accept that the Earth is far older based on science and the nature of biblical genealogies.
No verse in the Bible highlights the age of the earth.
Georges Lemaitre

Was a Catholic priest and a professor of physics.
He saw no conflict between God and cosmology.

Argues scientifically for a creator.

Became a theologian; believed in God.

There is no way you would understand science, and not believe in a creator.
Many nairaland atheists are baby atheists, they depended on scientific discoveries to become an atheist, but many of them doesn't it even understand it like they think.

Lol..... you're naming Individual beliefs to discredit what I said....the Bible documented history (assumably from when this very world was created) till date and according to that documentation, the earth is 6000+yrs....use the Bible to show otherwise not individual belief system and claims.

If you believe that the Biblical belief system doesn't clash with scientific findings then that "ur own opinion" the written words are clear and there are a lot of clashes.

There is no documentation on the Bible that states, or suggests that the Earth is 6,000 years old.
it was in the 1600s that a bishop proposed it, and was entitled to his opinion.

Many theologians disagree with that. What the bishop said it's not a fact, it was entirely his personal opinion. Don't attach it to the Bible.

I stated this earlier, but you still wanted to believe in your propaganda, lol.
You are not seeking the truth, you just don't want to believe.
You can choose not to believe, but it doesn't mean you should associate personal opinion of a medieval bishop with the Bible.

I repeat, Bible doesn't clash with science.

Unless you bring up propaganda and associate it with the Bible, then it may conflict.
It's not written anywhere in the Bible that the Earth is 6,000 years old.
When the City of UR, the hometown of Abraham, which was in modern day Iraq has existed for more than 7,000 years?

When Egypt has existed for more than 7,000 years?

It's either you don't understand the Bible or that you don't understand science, if you understand the both, you can unify them effortlessly. But when you lock up your mind, you can't understand it.

According to the history you said Bible documented, tell me the number of years that passed between Adam to Noah?

Finally.... adding emotions to arguments which is a traits akin to y'all Abrahamic religious individuals have started to show gradually as expected..... cheesy .

Anyways you can try to twist fact all you want.... Scientifically the earth is millions-billions of years old but it isn't up to millions of years biblically....the Flood and the story of Noah can hardly be proven Scientifically due to different reasons which include uniqueness of certain animals to certain continents, countries and/or locations etc.

Anyone being honest knows that basic scientific logic doesn't go hand in hand with most religion as you claim.

If we start breaking down biblical events and questioning them Scientifically....Genesis alone will expose a lot without even needing to go to Exodus.

I haven't felt or shown any signs of emotions so far, you misjudged anything that make you feel I responded emotionally, I'm way too far from that.

The book of Genesis was written by Moses, he wrote about the Noah's ark.

Guess what?
That story had existed for over 2000 years before Moses's time. I mean, 2000-2100 BC.

Abraham was from Ur of the Chaldees, a city in ancient Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq), home to the Sumerians who told stories like the Epic of Gilgamesh, including a great flood.

Growing up in this culture,
Abraham likely heard these tales and carried them with him as he moved and started his family.
