Good evening everyone so I took a bolt ride back from the office and the charge was N4,500 Now the driver told me his opay account number but he made ai mistake in one number Seems he was a bit absent minded and said 08030923712 instead of 08060923712, and I said Peter right he said hmmm,he was on his phone and I sent the amount. Next thing he quickly screamed his name isn't Peter oh, by then it was too late in a second I had sent it. So I quickly initiated a wrong transfer issue and on opay explaining the error and he took a less amount of 3,700 for his error . Now the thief who owns the 08030923712 has refused the refund the money and the useless opay app said he rejected the refund and claimed business transactions. I called the thief and he was even boasting that nothing will happen. This opay app is so useless on cases like this. It's not the amount that paining me it's the audacity of this thief . Now opay is saying there is nothing they can do. Agent make una epp me make this useless criminals life miserable. If I will lose the money let the thief loose his peace 😄😄😃😃 1 Like

Please don't tarnish opay. You've to provide a good details to help identify you are actually saying the truth. So you want opay to block his account? Thundafireseun:The passenger should have waited for him to finish his call...? He doesn't have to repeat the number. Confirmation of the name is enough. If the driver knew his brain couldn't multitask he should have finished attending to to passenger first before taking his call that probably wasn't important and could have waited. Why calling him a thief,when you were the one who made mistake? Money too much for your hand to dey send anyhow,you come here dey call the lucky beneficiary thief. I even think say na better money before,as I hear thief.. I wish na wahala person you meet,make una enter court.. then you go tell the world if he used gun to come collect your money or he hacked your account.. Sad as it may seem only your bank can initiate that process he's not a thief because it was you that subconsciously sent the money it happened to me too and I take the blame. Sometimes they will refund sometimes they will not and insult you. |

Have you thought of the possibility that the driver is in cohorts with the criminal? This could be another format to steal from his passengers. Omit a number, pretend to be on an important call, then cry out that it was a mistake after the funds have been transferred to the wrong account. I don't trust Nigerians. 3 Likes |
