It's the niger delta people that's supposed to be more angry despite they been the money bag of Nigeria. How can they use almost 14yrs on a road and Northern have better roads. This why the northern are better they always remember themselves first.

concerning the very important nature of this road it would have made economic sense were it to be a dual carriage road.

project that was awarded in 2014 and he left office in 2015. You think that terrain is something they can just rush and finish in 6months.

Why waiting till 2014 to award the contract for a strategic road as this. Let's call failure what it is please

Smh.
That's even President Muhammadu Buhari's tenure who continued after it was abandoned by GEJ and PDP that initiated it since 2002

Tinubu is not doing anything according to losers but our own brother Gej refused to open it, Buhari refused to open it but now Tinubu did it yet losers will complain because seen Nigeria dead or failed all they live for.

Just few days ago Fubara opened up to say if not for Tinubu Wike would have removed him and same Tinubu those losers were attacking day and night because of same Fubara.

Losers oya styarg your sorrowful weeping 1...2...go...

Good one. The project started a long while ago I think by GEJ. The major progress was achieved by Buhari. Tinubu put finishing touches. Also note that the project was jointly funded by FG and NLNG. This clarification is quite important before propagandists start to wholly claim the work as 'renewd hope'.

Just thinking. This project(of about 35km( took about a decade to complete , who can estimate how long 700km Lagos Calabar road will take, considering that the terrain is somewhat similar?

Not necessarily weak rather too emotional. Nigeria economy was quite unstable during his reign, he knows subsidy should go but afraid of the hardship it will cause. Now petrol and currency subsidy is gone and government has more fund to play with.

Many idiots thinks Tinubu is either bribing or coercing the governors to change party but I don't think so.

Money more is now coming from the fg to the state than before plus they know if you align with the fg, some of the project currently been handled by the states are automatically picked up by the fg hence the switching.

The thing with Nigerians is they want change but are unwilling to bear the temporal discomfort it brings.

If Nigerians were patient with gej we won't have entered this mess big time.

If you observe you will see the economy is no longer threatened by global oil price, you can see the exchange rate can hold it own without government pumping millions of dollar weekly to keep the naira from crashing.

What the government need to tackle now is insecurities, once that is achieved and farmers return to their farms the future is bright.

Correction: the road belongs to South South region, and not to Eastern region.

Stop claiming what does not belong to you. That attitude is called greed.

Very well said.. brilliant!

However being emotional is weakness in itself, let’s not give excuse for that pls. Our brother GEJ was weak during his tenure. Let’s call a spade a spade.

The terrain is not the same. The Bodo-Bonny road is a bridge like road built across the ocean to connect two communities. While the Lagos-Calabar road is a land based interconnected highway. And both require different engineering strategies.

nonsense talk, they are some projects awarded since the time of Babangida and still yet to be completed, theyvare some debt since decades yet to be paid but Asiwaju has paid nost of the legacy debt and completing old project while also initiating his own and executing them with seriousness. Lagos -calabar ,Badagry-sokoto, we all could see the pace , even if he did nit complete it 750km and 1000km in 4 years, it is certain by God's grace, he will have reached 90% before he leaves office.
That is what it means by Awarding and executing .
