Adeleke was singing and dancing, even celebrating. Whats wrong with Mrs Tinubu asking him to tone it down? |

The woman is untrained unfortunately. People like her need to go back to polishing school. The same unruly behavior she exhibited in the Senate that made Dino to nearly slap her. Very uncouth. |

After seeing the best possible shot of the video, I realised it was just a normal and common interaction between age long acquaintances in Yoruba culture but amplified by some online people who just want to talk. We did see things like this often in our religious and tribal gatherings while we were children and laugh it off. Watch closely the interactions between Boda Jackson and Aunty Remi with a Yoruba cultural binoculars and not the “obedient” one, you will see “agbalagba meji ti o se erepa” with no respect lost between them. After all it was a Yoruba cultural event. |

Amotolongbo:Excuse me. Can you stop this nonsense you do where you tag everyone who disagrees as this or that? That is bullying itself and you're not different from the Obidients yourself. Any contrary opinion, you guys find a way to call it names. While he was singing or performing, Oluremi Tinubu approached the podium and told him to stop the music, saying something like “I’m giving you five minutes to finish your speech; the music is enough.” When he continued despite the warning, she allegedly threatened to switch off the microphone. The “Office of the First Lady” is not defined under Nigeria’s Constitution and thus she has no legal authority to “order” a state governor at an event. Her office has no formal power over elected governors. From a social/ethical standpoint, many observers from the media, commentators, and members of the public consider her act disrespectful or embarrassing, especially given that a sitting governor was publicly admonished by a non-elected spouse. This was a breach of good decorum. Constitutionally, the Governor is not only in charge of the State but in charge of chieftancy affairs through the Local Government Commission so what are you saying? What has Obidient lens got to do with this? When will you accept responsibility and stop making up excuses like a responsible adult? |

This is absolutely ridiculous. Channels TV is now a partisan media platform. I guess they will soon be calling out their own Remi Tinubu too. |

Validated:Remi Tinubu is a well trained Yoruba woman The problem come from south east people that see women as inferior being and look down on women, Remi Tinubu leading without cowering to many men bullshits is suffocating to them but we have no problem with it in South West because we don't look down on women like them. If it was Obasanjo or Ooni of Ife that called Adeleke to order to comport himself would all these people have a problems with it ? They have problem with it because Remi Tinubu is a woman and the wife of the president they hate. |

SpatialKing:Calling someone to order when they are not behaving in a proper manner is not disrespectful in Yoruba culture and there's no protocol here, Remi Tinubu was the one celebrating her coronation ceremony. Governor Adeleke was just a guest there and the coronation would still have went on even without his presence. |

Amotolongbo:The action of the first lady is embarrassing when it comes to public speaking, there is a way you pass a message across to a speaker of such calibre.... The governor was not out of place singing cos the event is Ooni celebrating his anniversary and also the installment of chieftaincy title on the first lady if am not mistaken, so what stops the governor from praising God on that occasion that the first lady will go and kill his moral in the name of be fast because of time...... |

| Re: Channels TV Crew: Oluremi Tinubu Dropped The Ball, Should Apologise To Adeleke by Emmanuel900(m): 1:28pm On Dec 10, 2025 |
ambale:Adeleke is just a governor of Osun for a while he is not the owner of Osun state that can do and undo, he is just a caretaker and telling the Governor to behave properly is not a crime in a democracy. We are not under a military regime where calling the governor or administrator to order could be a crime. |
