Nigeria was shamed first. Imagine Burkinafaso detaining Nigeria's military aircraft and 11 officers for over 1 week. See his fast everything about this shithole is deteriorating - a country glorified by God, ruined by politicians. It is really a shame.
That is the standard procedure anywhere in the world!

The military governments of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger, united under the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), issued a joint statement late Monday describing the incident as a confirmed “violation of its airspace and the sovereignty of its member states.”

Since they are no longer ECOWAS and they can all gang up and lie over NAF violating their airspace when permission was granted by both the airport's ATC and regulatory body after the crew of the C-130 Cargo aircraft requested emergency landing, its only best that our borders be permanently closed to these rogue led countries.

Any and all their citizens in Nigeria should be rounded up and deported asap.

You think the plane just landed in Russia without contacting the airport's control towers for authorisation? Dey play! Russia will shoot down any unauthorized aircraft in their airspace and nothing will happen just as they shot down a Malaysian aircraft on their airspace killing almost 300 people and nothing happened!

That’s the sensible thing to do to save fave. Arresting and detaining the plane and crew was absolutely unnecessary in the first place. It was simply an act of pettiness and frustration over the failed Benin coup.

In accordance with international aviation rules, a plane in an emergency situation is expected to make an emergency landing at the nearest airport. The crew clearly communicated the emergency situation to the Airport Authority in Burkina Faso. So, why arrest and detain them in the first place?
Hello,,,, Aerospace is different from car parking garage , Pilot can make SOS call for emergency landing , it's now left for the country control tower command center to grant request, it is not mandatory ,but under international aerospace code ,control tower can grant permission under there own bilateral condition or whatever circumstances., but it's illegal to prove stubborn and land your aircraft without landing clearance...

I salute the Burkina Faso military government for applying wisdom and not shattering our African unity. They're within their full rights to protect their country even if it involves shooting any strange aircraft hovering over their airspace without contacting their towers. I'm sure they're aware the Nigeria air force was working with the French, they just decided to let them go for the sake of African unity.

How can an aircraft veer so far off course that they went so deep into Burkina Faso to the point of almost reaching the Mali border? How! The soldiers should be thanking their stars to still be alive and the military should be grateful that their aircraft is still intact. France! Leave us out of your mess FFS!

What's that first paragraph? Which sane country won't detain foreign military for landing in its airspace especially when the country just intervened in another country's (Benin) conflict.

There's some kind of argument that makes one a subject of ridicule. Your first paragraph is an example.

If you look at the map of the world and plot a straight line between Nigeria and Portugal, you will find out that the city Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso where the aircraft landed is quite far from that line. So, this statement will be hard to believe that the aircraft was on the way to Portugal

Lol...in a bid to justify your position, you just ended up contradicting yourself.

Where was it said that the NAF C130 just decided to leisurely land in BurknaFaso WITHOUT contacting the airport tower? Show me or just shut up!

Secondly go and read the link where you got that screen grab from! The plane was shot down by Pro-Russian rebels around the time when there was conflict in the Donbass region. They mistakenly thought it was a Ukrainian plane!

The rebels were tried in absentia and convicted!

Stop being clever by half, no country just shoots down a plane just because their airspace is violated. There's a communication initiated BEFORE any adverse action is taken!
