Tilumbu has rendered Nigerians extremely poor and defenseless .

People who were spending average 50k or less per week for their families now spend over 200,000 per week, with moderate or no increase in salary.

There's no public record of poverty rate by state by world bank in 2025.

In fact, world bank projected that up to 139 million Nigerians will be in poverty before the year ends, no thanks to Tinubu's babablu governance.

In summary, Tinubu is the president of more than 139 million poor Nigerians.

AI Overview

+6
The World Bank's October 2025 Nigeria Development Update (NDU) highlights a severe poverty situation, projecting 61% of Nigerians (around 139 million people) living in poverty in 2025, a reversal from prior trends, driven by inflation and eroded purchasing power despite macro-economic stabilization from reforms like subsidy removal and exchange rate unification. Poverty remains highest in the North (especially North-East/West) for children, but the new data underscores that all regions struggle as macro gains haven't translated to household welfare, with a critical need for social protection and inflation control.
Key Findings from the October 2025 Report:
Poverty Rate: Projected to hit 61% in 2025, affecting about 139 million people.
Causes: Economic reforms (subsidy removal, FX unification) stabilized the economy but high food inflation and weak growth left many households struggling.
Regional Disparity: While specific 2025 regional breakdowns aren't fully detailed in snippets, historical data shows the North-East and North-West have significantly higher child poverty rates, suggesting these areas are disproportionately affected.
Impact: Families face challenges like skipping meals, dropping out of school, and selling assets, with food consuming ~70% of poor households' income.
Regional Context (Based on Related Data):
Multidimensional Poverty (Child MPI): Higher rates in North-East (90%) and North-West (90%), lower in South-East (74%) and South-West (65.1%).
General Trend: The NDU emphasizes that poverty is rising across the board, indicating all geo-political zones are suffering from the cost of living crisis, even as the North has historically been more vulnerable.

Food don land be dat! shocked

Just look at the responses! 6 freaking regions in Nigeria, yet all these insecure bigots can think about is Igbo, IPOB and south-east! shocked Anyone not conversant with Nigeria could be forgiven for thinking Igbo and IPOB are these people’s problem, and the reason they’re in a poverty and insecurity stricken country! And the next question would be ‘what are they doing to detach themselves from a people they believe are ‘deadweight’ and not adding any value to their lives’!?

So can anyone tell me the modalities the World Bank used to arrive at this conclusion that’s giving certain people a boner!? Or did they ask the deceitful, bigoted and anti-Igbo Tinubu gov’t to supply them with the data?

Just what markers are visible on ground to show that the south-east is 200% poorer than the south-west and south-south? It’s like some people get restless if they can’t find something to reassure them that they’re ‘better’ than the Igbo!

I no get the strength for small pikin talk. You're free to say anything you want, nothing will change the reality on ground.

The south west is miles ahead of the south east, that's why we have your people everywhere in the south west.

In Ogun state for example, no part of Ogun state you won't find Igbos living In large numbers because the state is prospering.
