Devabba:
Anybody travelled interstate for the interview?
it depends on the state they did the interview in 3 state, Lagos, Abuja and PH so those in other state might likely travel but only few people did online probably they requested for it

They haven't shortlisted yet they said on or before October ending based on what the moderator lady said, so lets still expect between today and tomorrow but if they want us to resume this year they should get back at most beginning of November so they can give people 2weeks+ to resign from their current except they want resumption to be January but i didn't ask if were resuming this year i only asked when they will get back
Okay then. Fingers crossed

It depends it might not be louder than seplat it might be in same range seplat pay was wat it is cux of Mobil
Assets that they acquired

But oando on the order hand acquired Tebedaba-Brass Trunkline (a major natural gas pipeline system) from Shell Petroleum in full acquisition August 2025

I felt that was the reason for the delay it was after they acquired it we got mail in September so there’s a likely hood they take more of us but let’s see they pay would be massive considering the acquisition

They’re NAOC acquisition boosted their revenue last year so this should too

I doubt anyone can give that value unless someone who likely has an insider. But based on evaluation, Oando likely interviewed between 200-300 people which is a high number to me. But how many they would employ, I doubt it's going to be more than 50. That's even if it reaches

Jarus made a post on twitter though seplat took close to 50 and all were from Ac they didn't do any final interview they only picked the top guys and sent them offer

but lets hope oando get back to us this month positively

Take this lie away from here. It is okay if you don't know high flyers, to paint such a narrative is dangerous. I know 3 different people who have all scaled through, not knowing anyone. They prepared hard and are cremè de la cremè
Higherupgrade:
I believe it is probably my friend and one other person from Abuja who got in, those are the only two I have heard of so far. He has strong connections, so it seems Oando might have prioritized referrals, which is quite disappointing. In the entire group, no one else mentioned receiving a success mail, which speaks volumes about how the system operates.

I actually have a friend who knows a top executive at Oando. After the final interview, I asked him to reach out on my behalf, but he insisted it was not necessary, that based on how I performed, I would definitely move to the next stage. Unfortunately, it appears that in many oil and gas firms like Oando, intelligence plus connection equals progress, while merit alone often is not enough. I even looked up the last five Graduate Trainees they took in 2019, and most turned out to be related to senior staff.

That said, I am still grateful. Out of seven interviews I have had this year, the only ones I did not scale through were NNPC and Oando. I got offers from the other five and chose to resume with one last month, rejecting the rest.

To everyone still waiting, do not be discouraged. Not receiving a success mail does not mean you were not qualified, sometimes the system just works differently. If this GT opportunity does not work out, by God’s grace, we will find ourselves in even bigger and better organizations soon. 🙏
Re: Oando Graduate Accelerated Program (GAP) 2019 by Jolina12: 8:28pm On Nov 05, 2025
This is very untrue. I got a success email with ZERO connections.
I am not on any group chat, so I’m sure that there are many other people who passed the interview stage based solely on performance, that you are unaware of.
