Lady took to social media to call out Nigerian airlines over the high cost of local flights. Describing it as pure wickedness and exploitation, she urged the Minister of Aviation, the Nigerian Senate, and the Federal Government to look into the airlines and their flight fares.

She said, “How can a flight that is less than one hour be N500,000? This is totally unacceptable!”

While questioning the unnecessary increase in flight fares in Nigeria, she insisted there is absolutely no reason for the skyrocketing prices. According to her, the average Nigerian will always try to exploit others.

She then called on the relevant authorities to regulate airline prices. “In this period where there’s a whole lot of insecurities and kidnapping, everyone is trying to avoid the roads by all means, yet the flight fares are skyrocketing. What are these airlines trying to do? They’re indirectly pushing us out there to be kidnapped.”

She added that even though she is a flight attendant who can wear her uniform and fly for free, she will not keep quiet. “This is not acceptable. This is pure wickedness and exploitation, for crying out loud. Our Senate should do something about this,” she declared.

She further called on the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, to call the airlines to order and stop them from exploiting Nigerians. She also urged Nigerians to tag all relevant authorities on social media, saying she is sure that an average Nigerian, if given the opportunity, would not hesitate to exploit others.

It's called demand and supply; when the demand for a service or goods goes up without a corresponding increase in its supply, the price of that service or goods will therfore increase.

So if u enter iya basira canteen where a plate of food goes for 2k...once there's crowd that's more than the available food, she will then increase it to 10k per plate.... do they increase fuel price at petrol stations during scarcity , even with the very long queue.... have they ever said, since the demand is much and our petrol isn't enough, we should now increase if from 1k to 5k per litre , afterall , the petroleum industry is also deregulated.....

We need to stop accepting this nonsense.... no increase in jet fuel , no scarcity of jet fuel ...but they are increasing flight fairs by a whopping 300% ...not 10 or 15% ...300% .... that's extortion... why isn't it same price as it usually is....it should be first come first serve basis ... maintain same price of 150k ...if u don't get cos its fully booked then u accept... not taking advantage of the situation..that's extortion....and this happens every Christmas period

Look at all the fake milk in Nigeria. To get something close to real milk is almost 5k for 380gram and someone like you will come up to say MILK NO BE BY FORCE.

I think she should be supported because our nation needs to know that in saner climes discounts are common in the spirit of the Christmas season. Here prices skyrocket. Na Opposite 😂

It’s only in Nigeria that when they increase prices they justify it using some economic terminologies such as demand and supply but when it concerns price reduction following same economic conditions they used earlier, it becomes a challenge for them to reduce prices and will take government intervention for the new price reduction to take effect, but they don’t need government intervention to increase prices…
