Yeah, most definitely not deliberate. In which case I low-key feel bad for them if what I'm hearing is true.

Let's see what happens. I think Osasu said somewhere that the entire case will blow open before the new year and we may get the final verdict.

Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Burkina Faso and now maybe DR Congo very soon.

Our list of rivals and enemies in Africa keeps piling up. Lol.
make dem join line joor. I lowkey dont want us to play at this world cup. Its basically rewarding this incomp*tent nff team. They are basically sabotaging the team with late payments to staff and players and forcing players on the team. Making that world cup will basically mean they face no consequence for their sh*tty behaviours

Samuel Chukwueze is becoming a huge defensive asset.
This was a player critisized years back for his lacklustre defensive participations.

Against Bunley today, I was overcome with admiration watching him winning duels, covering spaces, making clearances.

He has to pick up the pace, because he needs to make ac Milan eat their words ac Milan is thriving without him, and he also needs to ball out to show ac he was not the problem.

And besides bro is fighting for a permanent sign deal. And he got his brothers there to make Him feel at Home

Samuel Chukwueze is a fine player, but surplus to requirements at AC Millan.

In my opinion, selecting Usman for the 28-man team is an excellent gamble.

As noted previously, we currently lack a dedicated Creative Attacking Midfielder (CAM). Usman possesses the potential to deliver a major surprise, much like Sunday Mba did in the 2013 tournament! This is the African Cup of Nations, not the World Cup.

On Fago
When I watched this young man at the Under-20 level, his technique was simply amazing. His first touch, pace, and ability to use both the left and right foot suggest he has it all. He is a center-forward who can effectively play across the entire forward line. For a 28-man roster, I would definitely back him.

We already have several players in the team with similar profiles to the likes of Alhassan, Otele, and Tolu.

Consider where players from teams like Comoros or Tanzania are currently playing. Being signed to a top European club does not automatically make one the best, just as playing for a lesser-known club does not make a player poor. If a player possesses the required qualities, I would bet on them, same way Stephen Keshi bravely backed Mba and Obaboana years ago.

Again, adding or removing Tolu, Otele, or Alhassan will neither significantly improve our chances nor prevent us from winning AFCON. Let's prioritize unique skill sets and potential impact.
And what did Chrisantus Uche posseshuh A defensive flairhuh

Osimhen used to have 1 v 1 as well as penalties issues
He’s sorted out the penalty issue, his pen kicks are no more obvious
Bro needs to fix his 1 v 1 issue ASAP
Gabon game now today undecided
I have not seen Halaand miss a 1 v 1. 🏃‍♂️😅
Haaland still missed a 1 v 1 two games ago. Just say you never watch the match wey he miss 1 v 1.

If I'm not mistaken, Haaland has missed an open net at least twice. That's arguably worse.
And I just replied him without even seeing yours, this one and gba takes no dey ever far from each other.

The law is the law! When did FIFA start caring about what a country like DRC thinks. If they can deduct SA points nothing will stop DRC sanction if found wanting! As a lawyer you should know this!
FIFA has its own set of laws for determining eligibility. They don’t use/enforce national laws. You just need to qualify via FIFA ties eligibility rules and posses a valid passport.

Unless there’s somewhere in FIFA statutes that state that all national citizenship laws must be complied with at the point of application.

Anyways the case is interesting. But I don’t think FIFA is buying this. There are several countries that have dual citizenship prohibitions but don’t enforce it.

That’s why FIFA uses its own set of rules to determine citizenship. Countries like Qatar are ready to buy citizens if na national law FIFA Dey use.

All these we don't deserve to qualify is not the issue, FIFA is the one to make their decision, and meanwhile, if it's in our favour, you still have play-offs to play, which is still not a guarantee you'll win, or do you think the same Eagles can't fumble against those Caribbean or oceanian teams?

Let's be real, most people on this thread, including those wishing we don't go to the World Cup or deserve to go, will rejoice if the decision goes our way, make we stop all the pretense jor

The coach has called up Uche on multiple occassion but he has not played a single minutes of competitive game.
Uche needs this period to focus on his club not going to an AFCON where he won't play and then fall down the pecking order at his club!
The reason for Okoye's exclusion is the same for Uche's exclusion.
Both simply wanted to focus on their club career! Rest guy!

I am hearing from good authority that Uzoho, Usman and Fago's inclusion were last minutes call-up as some key players opted out cos they were not guaranteed playing time.

I think South Africa vs Nigeria is a competitive match, Uche featured.

Heard about it too. Such a stupid protest from Nigeria and Cameroon.

First of all, I don't believe FIFA will be willing to risk having any more drama and upsetting an entire country and possibly an entire continent by throwing DRC under the bus to favor Nigeria.

They're already dealing with so much backlash for the World Cup draw. You know how the average soccer fans think. Penalizing DRC by disqualifying will be perceived as nothing more than corruption to favor Nigeria. I won't be surprised if they just fine them and move on with their lives.

Also, aren't we ashamed that we keep trying desperately to find these backdoors to a tournament we didn't deserve to qualify for? This whole thing is pointless if you ask me. Count your losses and rebuild yourself. We need to stop this disgusting habit of looking for short cuts everywhere.
It's not desperation but what FIFA law stipulate and any country that violated it must face the music...my brother a senior advocate of Nigeria and member of FIFA legal team said football has gone beyond only match results but other means of winning, now left for countries to abide by the rules to avoid points deductions or disqualifications...... nothing like short cuts in any FIFA decisions.

to be fair he is not fit. His first appearance since injury was one youth team epl match. While he is an integral part of the team, risking his fitness for a tournament he has already been to twice doesn't make sense. Let him rest and recuperate. There are more afcon qualifiers (2026) and world cup qualifiers (2027) still left to play.
