My dear you think the Nigeria Government have sense? Very Useless People!

This your point is very valid

ARISHEM:
Rubbish nonsense. So if a student did not pass a crucial paper in his or her WAEC. You want to deny such student in retaking that exam unless he or she go back to SS2 or do GCE.

And if an SS3 student relocate from one region or state to another due to insecurity and banditry that student must resume as an SS2 student and not continue as an SS3 student.

All of them in that ministry of education are high in wickedness

But our president graduated before the school he attended was established. What if there are genuine reasons for transfer such as death of parents and family relocation. Instead of this clueless govt to go hard on miracle centers and their collaborators in the education ministries and parastatals they are coming up with this crap strategy.

make the examination cbt for evetyone, you people know what to do. the waec gce they are about to conclude you visit the center, every form of malpratice have died a natural death, for power and computer problem, WAEC just successfuly tested the SOLAR Tablet, there is no excuse again, make WAEC center base like JAMB UTME, not school base, even if they go to miracle center to enrol they will be posted to another center around, you people know what to do to stop malpraticr the next second, you dont just want to do it only God know the reason,

You are right! It’s all noise.

Enforcement they cannot do.
I don’t think they have the resources and manpower to monitor every new incident of registration at that level . Only a handful will be caught.,
Trust Nigerians, they will find a way to bypass this. They could leave blank spots on Ss2 attendance , registration, and results sheets to backfill them with the new student information like he was there.

You said it all!

Beating the system illegally is an art for Nigerians.

They will find other shortcuts!

I am just personally concerned about where we heading to as a country. If today’s kids and youths are the future of tomorrow, then Nigeria has no future.

Like you don’t know what majority of Nigerian parents will do if WAEC is abolished. You will just get to realize that, no one fails again. They will buy all the grades for their kids.

Nigerian parents are the real threat to education. They have corrupted and bastardized the system.

Have you observed that everyones’s kid is now brilliant and gets double promotion? Only the poor ones don’t get it except kid is extraordinarily brilliant.

But you see those rich ones, they get double promotion before primary 4 and write common entrance in same primary 4 or 5.

Go to common entrance examination centers and go see what’s happening there. You will be amazed. I almost was very sad the day I witnessed it.

So the government knows what happening and wants to counter it. If WAEC is removed. then doom is certain!
It is sad that both the parents, school authority and some examination officials are collaborating to bastardize education in Nigeria through examination malpractices.

The policy is sound.
There are other options, such students may write the general exams for Waec, neco or nabteb.
It's very reasonable that a students that failed his core subjects resit not only his exam but his classes once again.
That's how we build character in a nation.

Some don't know GCE is done twice yearly. If you can't do internal weac then external waec aka GCE is another opportunity. Twice for that matter

Misplaced priority.
So a parent who is transferred from one part of the country to another will leave behind his or her child going to SS3 simply because the child cannot be enrolled in another school in the parents' new location because of this policy?

Besides, don't parents have the rights any longer to change school for their children, whenever they wish?

This is dictatorship.
Abacha no do reach dis level
exactly my thought, so if a parent relocates to another part of a city, or transferred out of the town or state, they must leave their SS 3 behind in their present school to write WAEC.

This is already ongoing in Ogun State since 2021. No transfer to any terminal classes be it Pry 6, JSS 3 and SSS 3

It’s gone far above examinational malpractices. It’s gotten to corrupt levels outside examination.

You can buy double promotion, buy your way from primary four straight to 6 and sit for common entrance. You can pay your way through for malpractice at common entrance examination, and if you rich, you could work it out at the ministry level.

Gone are the days they tell you, no double promotion in secondary school. It happens now if you can buy it.

University admission or university grades can be bought!

You can buy a degree for the unborn as it stands today. You just need money.

why GCE that is for private candidates? You deny a child that has schooled for 6 years the opportunity of writing the school leaving exams because their parents relocated, which is no fault of the child

What nonsense are you talking about.
Must the class for he or she to resit because he failed a subject be 2 to 3 years?
That is not character. That is wickedness

Correct me if I am wrong but do schools not submit the SS2 register to Ministry and do WAEC candidates not having their SS1 to SS2 scores entered for them before they are eligible to sit for WAEC?

How is starting from SS2 resiting classes for 2 to 3 years. Waec exam syllabuses comprises SS1 through SS3. How on earth is it wickedness to not be given a soft landing for failing your final exams.
Have you seen the very poor state of education in the country. An SSCE holder should be employable not to talk of an higher institution graduate.
Yet you especially will desire a better nation.
Just because you hate the government of the day doesn't mean you lose it when you see policies that will benefit everyone.
The insecurities we are talking about today is partly due to the failure of our educational system. Let's tell ourselves the truth

Do you know people get fake degrees to get points for immigration and it gets verified by WES?

Seems you don’t this country! If you hear something, don’t say it’s impossible, look for how they did it and confirm. Most times, you will be shocked.

Hahahahahahhaha hahahaha!!

You must be a comedian if you think Nigerian Ministry of education is that organized and has the integrity to actually receive records of millions of ss1 and ss2 student across nigeria and check it for compliance against name of student registered for WASSCE....
As in .....do u even understand why Nigeria is the way it is?? Why we have bad roads, why there are no roofs or chairs in many schools, why 70% of our budget is inside some pple's pocket ??

You are truly smart and a deep thinker. That is what I have always been saying about this people. They don't think things through before displaying their embarrassingly poor thinking.

They aren't proactive, they are reactive in nature.

As you rightly said, a child that passes all papers and fails a single critical exam. What happens to that child?

Anyway...we have seen sophisticated people and Governance in full glare and their failings are epic.

Very pathetic
In addition to what he said, another issue I've seen is that some schools are govt approved but not WAEC approved, I don't know the reason for this, probably due to facilities or population of the school, so such schools take their pupils to a WAEC approved school for their exam, how do govt address this, considering the fact that it's state that grant the approval

Why I said majority and not all.

Do you know private schools also have corrupt influences to make their students pass WAEC? That’s how they market the schools.

A lot goes on in the educational sector if you take time to investigate. I mean a lot!

If WES should do a full time audit of all result sent to them, you will be shocked by the outcome.

The system is rigged! Only the poor cannot thrive in the system.
you gave out a classified information unfortunately we lack evidence but you are 100% correct but most people will tell you na lie

You are claiming to know all. Look at your reasoning. Has it got anything to do with what the ministry said? The ministry is talking about transfer and you are talking about repeat. ❓❓❓

Only God knows how Tinubu's ministers reason especially this Education Minister.
He comes out with different policies every day thinking he's about to revolutionize the system, he's just causing confusion.
How can there be out outright ban on admission or transfer.
What happens where parents are genuine about transfer due to wanting better standard for the student or relocation?
The minister is dull. I have said it times without numbers. Most of his directives are impractical and disjointed

On this one i support the government 100%. Except your school is not registering students for WAEC/NECO there is no justification for such...it is mostly done to aide exam malpractice.

I'm guessing you mean the parents of students attending good private schools. Haven't you noticed that they don't fail WAEC either? grin

Whether we admit it or not, private secondary schools are academically better than federal and state counterparts with a few exceptions though.

Bro, you see in this life, you need to understand that making money makes life easy anywhere in the world.

What inspired my comment is that students spend 3 years in school working hard to pass subjects that will eventually become useless. It should count for something.

Go to some private schools, you will notice, their teachers are the one writing the exams for them

I know of this, some of them that snaps the questions have already been triggered in lagos observation room, for the leaked questions I won't comment on that now, when those centers are made to loss their license to take the examination, and their computers will turn to cockroach dump others won't try it again, take a look at JAMB UTME,
Malpractice might not be 100% eliminated but reduced just like the utme
