In Congo you cannot have dual nationality. The rules can be ignore by birth, and you need to take a decision before you get to the age of 21.
There were so many player in the Congolese national team that switch without renouncing there other nationality, which means, they now have too nationality.
So is this reason part of FIFA's ineligibility rule?

Is this not something that has to do with the country and not football?

2002 – Group stage ❌
2004 – Runners-up 🥈
2006 – Group stage ❌
2008 – Group stage ❌
2010 – Did not qualify ❌
2012 – Group stage ❌
2013 – Group stage ❌
2015 - Disqualified ❌️
2017 – Quarter-finals ❌
2019 – Round of 16 ❌

Is it only Nigeria that will benefit from this news? What about Cameroon? They played against the same squad too.

Woh- I'm just confused about the whole thing.

At any rate, I'm still taking this update with a spoonful of salt.

EEGA:
He is almost 30.

Gets subbed out, after the hour mark for Besiktas.

The efficiency is no longer there.

We need midfielders with goal threat.

Imagine if Osimhen limps off injured like we saw against DRC Congo

We will need midfielders like Onyeka to bail us in games like that.

Some teams go rough on a team's top striker inorder to maim or reduce his efficiency.

This is where midfielders with goal threat comes in.

In football, a goal is enough to differentiate between a winner and a loser.

Frank bailed us against DRC, but we want more.

When last did Ndidi score in the GWG.

Ndidi and Iwobi midfield is a no no for me.

A midfield with no goal return in as many as 15 games.
Facts.

Zaidu is a northeener
Nobody complains about him

We want merit list not NFF président or tribe slot
People complained when Musa lost form & play time
Musa shouldn’t have been invited for Unity games this year but NFF président chose to waste a slot for a wedding bound player
We need to be honest here
There have been several complaints about Zaidu here make we no lie

In congo you can't have dual nationality so them not renouncing their other nationality after their switch means they are ineligible to play for Congo
FIFA won't recognize them as Congolese
It's just like a player from Ghana representing Nigeria
Hope you get?

Bruno is closest

does anyone have any precedent case on disqualification of this nature. The only one i can remember is malaysia who were only fined for fielding players who doctored records for seven foreign born players. Still not on board with the optimism on this case

The ethnic baiting antics is the only weapon they use to guilt trip you into silence, while our football continues to rot because better judgement and standard of doing things right continues to erode us. If Iheanacho was selected in the final squad, I and millions of other Nigerians would have launched a tirade against the NFF as well, and Iheanacho is even from my hometown in Owerri.
You're even going too far. See how people are bashing Uzoho after they called him back. Uzoho has no ties with the north.

I've learnt to restrain myself from engaging people who easily pull up the tribalism card because I'll find it hard discussing with them without using harsh and unflattering words.

I imagine if FIFA wanted to take action, they'll start with the Cameroon vs DRC game.

Well, let's see what happens. Personally, I'm not investing myself in this issue.

Fifa for sure will take action but no one can tell yet if Cameroon will befit from the sanctioning/banning of DRC

Also Cameroon is yet to lodge any complain

At this rate, even if DRC fielded ineligible players, it is best the go to the mundial. Quite shameful was Cameroon giving DRC a more competitive game than the SE. Can't imagine Naija getting all these helping hands but undoing themselves all along. The players are the ones that have their legacies at stake not the fans. Most of them will never play in a world cup till the retire. Let the next generation players (Benjamin Fredrick et al) pick themselves up from there.

“Back then, Football had soul. Beckham bending it from 40 yards, Pirlo slowing time, Scholes seeing passes before they existed. Now it’s press, run, recycle. Athletes everywhere, artists rare. We’ve upgraded engines & downgraded imagination.”

Of course! No one said he is better than Tolu or Onuachu! Like I said he is not a pure 9.

Ogbeni enter pitch go play am. Mumu plenty on this space I swell. Didn't they play Gabon before DRC.

They should have ended the game in the first half but God has other plans! Cryng no tire you.
They lost through penalties but you people foam for mouth as if they were beating 4 nil.
Rest or enter pitch go try am if it is easy!

Like they did against Congo right?

I like your optimism but the Congolese parliament will just make a retroactive law to make all of this an exercise in futilely if the NFF is truely pursuing this line of action.

Not that I don't want Nigeria to be at the WC if FIFA lands an unlikely hammer on Congo but the chances of that happening is next to none.
