Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Delta, Abia, Imo, Ondo, Bayelsa states are there and you are going to Lagos that doesn't have any oil. Okay, this refinery will just die within 6 months after commissioning it, if you doubt me go and ask Dangote what he passed through despite all his financial strength and connection. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

MEGAWATCH:are those East States you mentioned safe for such.. First thing investor do before they invest is safely.. Do you want a whole refinery to close down every Monday. Ondo or Ogun and Ibadan is also a good location to build a new refinery. |

ajalawole:You people always think that on Mondays, everywhere is locked up. I want to expose some of those myths 1. Mondays sit at home was only strong then based on the fact that armed men weren’t around instilling fear in people. Heck, even cultists took advantage to rob people then. 2. Since security was tripped on Mondays, people go about their business. 3. Market gates are opened on Mondays, but the traders make their individual choice of staying at home. 4. Inter/Intra state traveling takes place on Mondays within all SE states 5. Companies work on Mondays. Their are companies that have furnaces that will need a minimum of two months to start it up if shutdown, you can’t tell me they stop operations on Mondays 6. No state capital in the east adheres to the sit at home currently. I don’t know for Abakiliki You guys should endeavor to stop giving us analysis of what’s going on in the south east from whatever place you are |

MEGAWATCH:Please explain what having oil has got to do with building refineries Many of you live in a comfort zone of ignorance assumption and lack of curiosity Here is a **clean, simplified list** for **Japan, Germany, South Korea, and India**, showing **refining capacity vs. crude oil production** (latest approximate figures, 2024–2025): --- ## 🛢️ **Refining Capacity vs. Oil Production** | **Country** | **Refining Capacity** (million bpd) | **Crude Oil Production** (million bpd) | **Status** | | -------------------- | ----------------------------------: | -------------------------------------: | ------------------------------------------- | | 🇯🇵 **Japan** | ~2.9–3.0 | ~0.01 | Large refiner, almost no production | | 🇩🇪 **Germany** | ~2.0–2.1 | ~0.03 | Major European refiner, very low production | | 🇰🇷 **South Korea** | ~3.3–3.4 | ~0.00 | Refining hub, no meaningful production | | 🇮🇳 **India** | ~5.1–5.3 | ~0.7–0.8 | Large refiner, modest production | --- ## 🔍 **Key Takeaways** * **South Korea** has the **largest refining capacity** among the four, despite **virtually zero oil production** → highly import-dependent but a major **fuel exporter**. * **India** is the **most balanced**, with both **large refining capacity** and **some domestic production**, though it still imports most of its crude. * **Japan and Germany** are **energy-import dependent**, maintaining large refineries to support industrial demand and regional fuel supply. * All four countries rely heavily on **imported crude oil**, especially from the Middle East. --- IKOREA WITH ZERO OIL REFINES DOUBLE WHAT NIGERIA REFINES 70% of the world cocoa comes from West Africa Almost zero chocolate comes from West Africa Any country can set up refineries whether they have oil or not |
