JohnBullMySon:They have presented Valid Congolese passports based on “Fictitious Information” that FIFA wasn’t aware of prior to approval. If those approval were approved based on “False information and illegality” There’s a case. FIFA has a history of slow approval towards Dual-Nationality of west African players specifically due to passport issues and their approval usually takes 1 to 2 years for west African Players. Congo were able to approve 6 players in less than 3 Months. That alone is very suspicious and needs to be looked Into. We need all our Attorneys to scrutinize and ensure that No FIFA laws were broken prior to that approval. The Congolese, Belgium and England Constitution needs to be thoroughly investigated by our Attorneys. If Congo submitted fictitious information to fifa prior approval by FIFA, they must be Punished and if no fictitious information were used, they should represent Africa. At the end of the day, Law is law and it needs to be enforced irrespective of NFF incompetence or our players horrible performance |

Having a mixed feeling joining this thread again since our disappointing result against DR congo. I thought I was gonna go on a long break. But here we are again. I hope I haven't missed much though. |

Bossoflife25:Late Keshi met all his Contractual obligations 1) Won an ANC 2) Qualified us for the World Cup 3) Round of 16 at the World Cup It doesn’t matter whether he used all players from his village, all that matters is that he met his contractual agreement |

Bannedlargejr:If false information was submitted to claim eligibility. Yes. That’s a valid one. FIFA will overturn the matches obviously. I was only responding to those saying that FIFA disqualify them based on what was written in their own constitution not FIFA statutes. You get? |

The fact that we aren't making moves to cap Arthur Okonkwo and we're busy calling up Uzoho is giving me sleepless nights. This country is cursed. Seriously. |

Bannedlargejr:I think the approval time depends on how quickly the player making the switch can provide the necessary documents. Ashleigh Plumptre completed her switch from England to Nigeria with FIFA approval under five months. |

Truidstarr:I read the conversation, they were singling out usman and Fago and calling it a federal character selection. Some were even calling for the saperation of the country. Someone qouted him and said "On to AFCON list"? He responded to confirm his reasons. Bro this is not the first time. We need to condemn flush out that narrative as its racist.

JohnBullMySon:Then this is a departure from your earlier argument if your claim is that member association can violate their own laws as long as they have valid documents to present to FIFA. You can't I'm one breath argue that FIFA will intervene if they "falsify documents" to achieve their goal and at the same time argue FIFA won't intervene should the matter be strictly within the purview of Congolese law. For the purpose of argument, if all the falsification happens within Congo to arrive at an outcome, wouldn't that mean FIFA has no jurisdiction based on your argument since only DRC can validate what's true and what isn't? |

lovewins:No chief, I’m still saying the same thing I’ve earlier. FIFA nationality law basically requires two things. One is that a country has given you citizenship (evidence of a passport). Two is that you actually have ties to country (evidence being birth certificates, parents birth certificates, proof of residency as required by FIFA). The first is what I’m saying that FIFA can’t nullify based on laws outside their jurisdiction. FIFA can’t police how a country gives you citizenship that’s why the second requirement exists. The second they can nullify because if you’re not born in the country or parents were not actually citizens of the country then that requirement has been violated and any documents provided are false. It’s a strange case because they meet FIFA requirements apparently but their own law is mired in some controversy. I don’t see how FIFA can legally make any judgments from that law. |

JohnBullMySon:I think FIFA still can. Under FIFA regulations, possession of a passport alone does not guarantee eligibility to represent a national team. Players must satisfy domestic legal requirements and comply with FIFA’s rules governing changes of international allegiance. Reports suggest that some of these conditions may not have been fully met, with additional questions raised over the documentation of at least one player who had previously declined an international call-up. |
