The Alaafin should find good people to advise him. He should also consider reading books on Yoruba history, leadership and human relationship. The event that lead to the eventual death of Oba Oyotunji USA, I believe should have calm him down by now, but he is feeling invincible because we are in a relatively lawless country, he should have been picked up to explain his contribution to the death of the king that came from the USA. By now he should be battling with court cases about his involvement. Kings are supposed to be honourable men who already feel great even without the kingship titles. Not little minds looking for trouble here and there. https://www.nairaland.com/8435120/killed-baba-oba-oyotunji-must But Who Killed Baba Oba Oyotunji, Must This Injustice Go Unaddressed? |

Ibadan land will always have the place of honor and dignity in Yoruba settings and beyond. They are loved and cherished by many, and your contribution to Yoruba liberation can never be forgotten. We know your beauty at heart, your service, and antecedent unlike some others. Don't descent too low to their level! |

So the Alaafin thought he could flex and quietly rearrange the sitting order to imply superiority? In Ibadan? The city that has produced more governors, senators, and billionaires than most Yoruba towns combined? The audacity is staggering. This isn't about a chair; it's about a desperate attempt to cling to historical relevance in the face of modern reality. Ibadan is the economic and political heartbeat of Oyo State, if not the entire region. The Olubadan was a Governor and Senator before some monarchs even learned how to sign their treaties. You don't "diminish" such a stool with petty palace politics. They quote "Ibadan mesi, won o go." Let me translate for the slow learners at the back: Ibadan has spoken, and we are not moving an inch backwards into servitude. This isn't 1820. The empire has shifted. The most pathetic part? It took a "security meeting" ,a gathering meant to address banditry and hunger , for this childish power play to surface. While the people are suffering, our "royal fathers" are fighting over who sits where. Shameful. Let this be a lesson: You can't eat "ancient history." Respect in 2025 is earned by the weight of your contribution to your people's progress, not by the antiquity of your title. Ibadan has moved on. Maybe others should too. |

muyico:it's d stool.... Me I see it as a spiritual stuff... D last alaafin loves women like sango.... Dis one too is hot tempered.... My view Sha.... D governor should call him to order.. I don't understand d fight over supremacy, oyo is superior to ibadan historically... But that was in d past Sha... Now respect is earned.... Nobody send anybody again |

That Alaafin is another mistake in Yoruba land. One is in Iweo, one in Ifo, luckily Awujale dynasty escaped KWAM whatever it would have be another disaster. Let the Yorubas in the house do the rest talking. I rest my case .. |

But Who Killed Baba Oba Oyotunji, Must This Injustice Go Unaddressed? The sudden and tragic death of Chief Lukman Ojora Arounfale, fondly known as the Baba Ọba of Oyotunji African Village, has left a gaping wound in the hearts of Yoruba descendants across the globe. A man revered for his unwavering commitment to Yoruba culture, heritage, and traditional spirituality, Baba Ọba's passing demands more than silence—it demands truth, justice, and accountability. How does a man travel from the United States, across continents, to pay homage to the newly installed Alaafin of Oyo, only to return beaten, humiliated, and—days later—lifeless? Baba Ọba’s own voice, now forever silenced, rang loud in the days before his death: he claimed to have been brutally assaulted by palace guards—on the orders of the new Alaafin, no less. These are not mere rumors; they are allegations supported by his own testimony, widely circulated in a voice recording that speaks volumes even in his absence. And now, the palace denies any wrongdoing. Yet questions continue to burn: if the palace was innocent, why did the man leave with bruises on his body and terror in his voice? If Baba Ọba died only of illness, why did his health sharply decline immediately after the attack? Let us be reminded—Baba Ọba was not a ghost. He was a man. A son. A father. A husband. A leader. He leaves behind a grieving family, a spiritual community in Oyotunji, and a global diaspora searching for answers. Do his wife and children not deserve justice? Do the Yoruba people not deserve the truth? This is bigger than tradition or palace politics. This is about human dignity, and about the right of every person—no matter their title or beliefs—to be treated with respect and fairness. To allow Baba Ọba’s death to fade into obscurity without investigation would not only insult his legacy, it would also send a dangerous message: that power can trample truth, and tradition can silence justice. We ask: Who killed Baba Ọba Oyotunji? Was it his failing health—or the brutal blows inflicted upon him by those meant to uphold Yoruba honor? We demand an independent investigation. We demand clarity. We demand that this injustice not go unaddressed. For the sake of his family. For the sake of his legacy. For the sake of truth. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbb4SeX6f-g&pp=ygUib3lvdHVuamkgdmlsbGFnZSBpbiBzb3V0aCBjYXJvbGluYQ%3D%3D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0PRAGfVEYs&pp=ygURYmFiYSBvYmEgb3lvdHVuamk%3D |
