JohnBullMySon:Folks tend to take things too personal here. I am personally not hopeful about NFF's petition to FIFA cause l believe they are grasping at straws (that is one point I don't disagree with you on). I however think this case is peculiar and quite frankly untested, and in law you only gain clarity when boundaries are tested. I'm seated with my popcorn curious to see how this pans out. |

It's either there's something we are lacking, or there is something we are not utilising. This current crop of eagles haven't adopted a pattern of play. There is no uniqueness in our play style. Immediately I saw how Congo started playing us, I flashed back to our final against ivory coast. There is a certain unique way they play, and Congo plays in similar fashion. These people have more control of the ball than Nigerians, regardless of whether they are foreign or local players. Senegal have also their unique play style, in fact a lot more other African countries do. They develop some sort of football identity because of this, just as how the Brazilians have a football identity. This thing I don't know if it is the genes, mentality or maybe something else, but it is quite evident. I'm sure the Kenyans have one too, just the way they are unique in marathon races with their long limbs. The Kenyans in athletics is a perfect illustration for what I'm trying to point out. |

Clint02:The Moroccans and Algerians also, even the South Africans. When you watch them play, you can almost always attach a specific and very noticeable play pattern to them. And I believe this pattern transcends across generations. I'm sure the way the Ivorians played many years back, is the same way they also play now. With flair, precision, decisiveness. So I'm leaning more towards culture and genetics. Because both local and foreign bred players adopt same style. Some nations will bully you with their speed, some will bully you and score loads of goals with their height, some will outmanoeuvre you with their skills and flair, e.t.c. But what is our own strength as west Africans, and how can we use it to our advantage in our coming games? |

Anyone can say anything they like doesn't make it true 👍🏾 I and Goke saw Egypt unable to string passes and pegged in their half for almost all the second 45. Clint02: |

NFF technical dept is zeo. Chelle and Pep Gardiola need help. Modern teams even hire set-piece coaches. These Super Eagles we saw today can get thrashed by any disciplined minnow in AFCON. |

Odunayaw:you saying they were unable to string passes is what I didn't agree with, but I'm going to have to back down now because I could not get my hands on the game statistics. The fixture wasn't even recorded on Livescore. We would have gotten more clarity by seeing the game stats. |

joelsteron:Lol, Iwobi was substituted in the 77th minute in that game against DRC. You make it sound like he was yanked off in the first half or something. ![]() See, I know it may be hard for you to accept but the truth is that until we find a suitable replacement, Iwobi still remains not just the best but the ONLY creative midfielder in that squad and today's match proved it. |

Onuachu can actually help us in the midfield if well utilized, just a little bit behind the strikers, similar to how Keshi used Sunday Mba. His presence would be a big factor there. I've always had this thought whenever I saw him play and wished he was a proper midfielder because of his size. He is always seem to me like a utility player. There is no harm trying it out on friendlies. |

Yep. Easily. Same way you spotted Joe Aribo. Nigeria's Rolls Royce Midfielder not so? Nnadi was well spotted here during the U20 WC by several. Not just you. Right now, your next spot claim is supposedly 21 y/o Chibuike Nwaiwu. Papi85: |

Overall. But we made more passes in the offensive third than they did. Like I said, the gap was not much at all. Odunayaw: |
