Accolades As Cameroon's Stephanie Oben Emerges Winner Of Miss Africa International

The long-awaited Miss Africa International 2025 pageant has come and gone with a Cameroonian beauty queen, Stephanie Oben emerging the overall winner of the highly contested pageant show.

The star-studded event was organised in Nigeria by a leading beauty and pageant brand, Miss Africa International in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and Ministry of Tourism

Miss Africa International 2025 pageant took place at the Center Point Event Center on December 6 in Abuja and had participants from across Africa.

The partnership with the ministries is an indication of importance the federal government attaches to youth development, empowerment, culture and tourism.

It assisted in projecting the country's culture of welcoming visitors with open arms as testimony continues to resonate on how hospitable the country was in receiving the participants from all over the continent.

The Nigerian pageant director, Queen Anita May Igoni appreciated the ministry for its support in promoting tourism. She also thanked the beauty queens who came from across the continent to be part of the event.

It drew delegates, creatives, cultural leaders, and global partners from across Africa and the diaspora. According to her, the event apart from being glamorous is a massive spotlight on African heritage and impact-driven storytelling.

“Miss Africa International has never been just about crowns. It’s about character, culture and contribution. Our winners are women who understand the power of influence and use it responsibly,” she added.

While each segment showcased the delegates’ poise and cultural pride, the decisive moment arrived during the elegant gown presentation and subsequent question-and-answer session. It was here that the eventual top winners distinguished themselves, articulating their visions for Africa’s future with clarity, passion, and profound depth. Their compelling responses and impeccable presentation ultimately captivated the judges, setting them apart in a field of extraordinary talent.

After which, Jennifer Shirima from Tanzania Tanzania emerged the first runner up, while Grady Esiko from Democratic Republic Of Congo came as the second runner up of Miss Africa International 2025.

Presiding over this keenly contested event was a distinguished panel of judges, carefully seated at the fore of the venue to critically assess every aspect of the competition. The panel comprised; Dr. Stella Jerry Eze, Beatrice Alex, King Bethel Mbamara and Sharon Kraus.
