NIKE TO REISSUE NIGERIA’S ICONIC 1996 HOME KIT IN RETRO RELEASE

Nike is preparing to bring back the legendary Super Eagles 1996 home jersey, one of football’s most iconic kits.

The near-identical remake celebrates Nigeria’s historic Olympic gold in Atlanta and is expected to drop in two versions, including a special edition likely featuring Jay-Jay Okocha.

An official release date is yet to be confirmed, but anticipation is already high among fans and collectors worldwide.
I love this jersey

I'd they don't do wellnin this nations cup the whole team should be disbanded. Ogunmodede of remo stars should be appointed as coach. Also, a psychologist should be hired for the team. The team dies not have any ambition. They are just going through thenmotins. Ndidi should not be captain as he is even on a decline. He is just average.
Generally, the team lacks a winning mentality. No ambition, no seriousness, even poor tactics by the coach. Their attitude is horrible. They should be disbanded. Young okayers should be encorouraged. These our so called superstars only flatter to deceive

He went to represent the Super Eagles in absence , unknown to the fans that Glass House was cooking.

I believe FIFA's final verdict favouring a playoff between Nigeria and Cameroon. But I wonder how Sudan will feel since they had complained , I don't know if they submitted any form of legal petition to FIFA. Remember Sudan finished 3rd in the group that had Sengal as the automatic winner.
Heard Cameroon withdrew d petition cos Dey also have a skeleton in deir cupboard (MBEUMO) is a French man or so ,and dey also don’t accept dual
Citizenship…I am not sure though

My starting XI against Tanzania if everyone is fit.

Nwabali
Ryan (still don't fancy Osayi in RB Position)
Ogbu
Bassey
Zaidu
Ndidi (Captain will start but will love to see more of Ebenezer and Nnadi to see if they can function in that position)
Iwobi (Weaker opposition on paper should afford him more room to be an attacking influence)
Fisayo (Has good attacking instincts. Could also drift to the left giving Lookman space to operate in the center with Osimhen)
Chukwueze
Lookman
Osimhen

Subs: Akor, Fago, Ebenezer/Nnadi, Ejuke, and Simon

It's crucial that Chelle doesn't make the mistake JP made of underutilizing his bench. He's also prone to confusing the profile of his players.

With the right attitude and determination I think Coach Eric has the tools to achieve something special.
I trust Chelle cool... He'll take some crazy decisions to save his job. My man will stick to 442 as usual and revert to flat 443 or 352 in 2nd half

1. Bassey will likely start from the left (I wish)

2. Ryan to start ahead of Osayi even though the latter is a first timer.

3. We might not see midden of Iwobi/Ndidi again (Akinsanmiro will likely pair Ndidi ahead of Iwobi) i wish

4. Ejuke and Chukwueze will double Lookman and Osimhen upfront.

5. Ryan, Seyi, Ogbu and Bassey back 4

Cameroon sef no pure 😂 they too don’t allow dual citizenship just show some of these countries have been doing corner corner!

DRC, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Liberia don’t allow dual citizenship, if they are in Afcon they should be careful 😂

In 19y/o Abubakar Abdullahi, we have another attacking pearl that could go on to do great things.

He scores again tonight for Gent U23s vs RFC Seraing in the Belgian 2nd tier. His 6th goal in 14 games.

He is a striker but also comfortable as a Right wing forward. Deadly lad.

Remember him from the 2023 U17 Class under Ugbade. The same class who in 2022 won the Wafu V U17s in commanding style.

I like what chelle did, he was not afraid to select new players going to Afcon, even without friendly match to see them play.
Some coaches would have prefer to go with players who they are already familiar with.
Chelle did well for selecting up to six new players for Afcon.

🚨 An African football expert has alleged that it appears that somebody in FIFA wants Super Eagles at the World Cup

🌍 Veteran African football journalist Thomas Kwenaite has alleged that unseen forces within Fifa may be pushing for Nigeria's qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

👤 Kwenaite 🎤: "I somehow get a feeling that there's somebody higher up either in CAF or Fifa in particular who wants Nigeria at the World Cup by hook or crook.

"Who tipped Nigeria that South Africa fielded an ineligible player in Teboho Mokoena? Who tipped Nigeria again that the DR Congo have nine ineligible players?

"When they tipped them about South Africa, Nigeria still failed to qualify. They are now tipping them about the DR Congo. Heaven knows, I think Nigeria are clutching at straws.

"They lost on the field of play and must be gracious enough. They must be sportsmen enough to accept that this was not their time. Maybe the next World Cup, or the one after that, they will qualify."

I don't know why the South African🇿🇦 are so bend of making sure that Nigeria did not go to the world Cup, first it was their FA chairman showing they disgust for the super eagle's and now this.

Distant themselves?
That's not true
To some extent he’s actually correct although segregation and distancing are the wrong terms to describe it. If you follow them on Social Media well enough you’ll notice that there’re clusters.

I think it’s normal because people tend to stay closer with those they share similarities with. As long as they aren’t gossip groups it’s fine. It’s not possible for 26 people to have equivalent relationships with each other. There will always be cliques.
