is it a Nigerian competition?
It is funny how Nigerians love laws to be obeyed but cant obey laws. Like if we can learn to obey laws without minding who is involved, we would have grown this country. But no, court orders are abused, police abuse power, politicians behave anyhow. lol

You will be sleeping on a bike if you think anything good will come out of this .
NFF is the most embarrassing entity in this country after the police force .
You are holding onto the pillar of players ineligibility as tho , Congo hired angels to play the match and not mere under experienced and exposed players compared to super eagles who all play in big club in Europe.
It’s shameful now that you need to search for weak loopholes that are non existent

FIFA will trash this like a paper tissue , cos the case is weak and boring .
Very boring.

A Carmel stands a better chance of going through the eyes of a needle 💉 than Dr Congo escaping the FIFA sledgehammer.

It is a slam dunk for Nigeria national team the match will be forfeited 3 nil in favor of Nigeria.

I pray that Congo qualifies for the world cup. Getting Nigeria to qualify won't be a dignifying one.

Cameroon is just waiting for the Nigerian appeal to pass before it lodges its own appeal.
Have you forgotten that in those same playoffs Congo defeated Cameroon with those same players before defeating Nigeria 3 days later.
There might be a Cameroon vs Nigeria match to decide who will qualify for the playoffs.

Then there is also the matter of the group where Congo emerged 2nd from where you will find Sudan who came 3rd which will also claim that 2nd spot if Congo is disqualified because of those players.

There is also Burkina Faso in the runners up table who came 5th will also appeal if Congo is disqualified.

How FIFA wan take solve this issue? Given that the playoffs are in March and calendars for international breaks have been fixed.

Either FIFA turn a blind eye and let Congo go to the playoffs or suspend Congo and open Pandoras box.

Either way, there can be no direct qualification to the playoffs for Nigeria if Congo is suspended.

FIFA don enter better gbese

ajalawole:
let assume it was Nigeria that field player who are not qualified to play, you think DC Congo won't do same. Things like this happen in European country too and most take it CAS.

These guys just want to drag the dead carcass called the super eagles to face more embarrassments at the playoffs and then the world cup. That team is an eyesore.

The country trying to sneak in by the backdoor is the one who did not play by the rules in trying to get to her first world cup after her very first appearance 51 years ago . Now that they've been trapped by their own nationality law , they should face the imminent sanctions , no exceptions .

nothing like such.. Lodging protest has it's time limit to do so before it is statute barred if those countries didn't lodge their protest in stipulated time like Nigeria , all they can get here from FIFA is compensations for any perceived negligence from the governing body, and the bulk of the monetary compensation may be forced out of DR Congo's pocket who were the party that , in desperation employed allegedly dishonest means to get players cleared by the world football Authorities .

back door or front door....rules are rules.......
and if Dr congo end up going, they did so too by using the backdoor, breaking rules laid down, so I see no reason to castigate Nigeria only here🥱🥱
Which rules? FIFA cleared the players before they played the matches. That is what matters!

All of you saying this is shameless, you don't even know what sports is all about. There is nothing shameless about what the nff is doing. In fact this is the best thing they have done since I started following them. Irrespective of whatever happens they have done very well. In sports you win with every means possible, every thing you can get away with you get away with it just to win. Only black people don't understand this. That is why we continue to lose at the world stage. Every other race of men understands this. The Arabs understand this and they defeat us all the time in club competitions. Even when we are better than them, they use intimidation tactics, ojoro, mago mago just to win. After the match the losers explain, the winners celebrate. South Americans, Europeans understand this too except the black man. What we belief in is juju instead of practical methods to help yourself get victory----- juju wey no dey work. The great Barcelona team of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, would regularly crowd the referee once they notice any perceived slight, to intimidate him and influence his Judgement, no matter how small. South Americans and Europeans would dive regularly in the penalty box to deceive the referee, the most successful team in the history of the champions league Real Madrid owes many of their successes to favourable calls by the referee at key moments, in the 2002 world cup Rivaldo needed to dive so that the great Brazil would defeat ordinary Turkey at the semis of the world cup, Maradona scored a goal with his hand to knock out England and he is worshipped like a God in Argentina, Suarez used his hands to stop Ghana from scoring the definite winning goal that would have sent them to the semis of the world cup, a black African player in Suarez position would have looked on foolishly as the ball wheezed into the net because he doesn't want to be seen as being shameless. Sports is the most important of the least important things. There is no morality, only laws and practical actions to ensure victory. The field is tight, intensely fought for, randomness is rife. You might be indeed better than your opponents but might be having an off day, to eliminate randomness you take advantage of any piece of advantage that has been offered you, you get away with any thing you can get away with, you profit from the carelessness and foolishness, hesitation, of your opponents whether in the field or off it. This is sports my brother, there is nothing shameless about this. All is fair in love, war, and I should add sports.
