That's not entirely true. You can be supporting friends whenever they ask for your assistance. However, the moment you ask for theirs, you'll know their true colours. That's when you realise that some friends are actually useless. It will make you begin to wonder the essence of friendship if you cannot support one another. It’s not 100% true. Some friends take you as Santa Claus because you’re generous, but you won’t get shishi from them. You’re not supposed to ask before a friend gives. I remembered a friend from school who always came to my room to eat. We were close. I shared things like eggs, noodles etc with him freely even though he still ate with me whenever he met me eating. He went home every weekend and brought plenty dried fish because that's his mother's business but he never offered me any. He’d just finish it quietly. 😄 One day, my girlfriend (now my wife) craved dried-fish noodles and it was kinda late. He said nothing and kept watching his movie. You know women na, dem nor sabi ignore things. Benin babe for dat mata. She jokingly told him "Uche na crime for person to eat your fish? Please go and give me fish jor" That was when he finally brought some. Deep down, I knew he was stingy, but I didn’t let it bother me. Spot on Reno. My colleague at work is a chronic beggar, he receive salary at 29th of the month and complain the other week that he's broke, thereby begging everyone for money without shame, in fact this has been is routine for every months, he ask me for money even though i can give him but i turned him down, because he has no shame begging, he is a chronic beggar and has no financial security, and always spending unwisely.
