Walai:
This is very simple, tar the road and build drainages with walkway (no open gutter) then mandate the building owners to repaint. Unfortunately, black man have a fundamental problem which we have not addressed yet.
Even if the owners agree to repaint, they won't agree on a uniformed colour.
Re: I Used AI To Redesign Onitsha (Photos) by humberjade:
Not that it is not achieveable, but Nigerians need to change their mindsets first. Imagine a country where her citizens dispose wastes in open drainages and litter the streets anyhow, whatever beautification efforts by the govt goes to waste.

These changes would not even be expensive, and would make Onitsha instantly the finest city in Nigeria
So what is your project going to cost since you say it won't be expensive also, from the images, it still doesn't make Onitsha the finest city in Nigeria

Onitsha would have been a lively city, like some of the Asian and middle eastern cities, with its peculiar high rising residential buildings. But government's inefficiency, corruption and citizens' low standards in everything have made the city not to take its pride of place in modern city landscape. In the streets are open gutters, bad roads and dirty environments, far from what a modern city should be. It is not about Onitsha alone, this descriptions are common among most of the Nigerian cities.

They can still 'thief' and still provide such infrastructure. They just don't care, or so it seems .

this is 100% achievable.

The whites were intentional and built their cities with minimal budgets, but our leaders prefer diverting the money to personal accounts and spend it on frivolities.

This is sad!

Not in Nigeria with Nigerians. See what We are already doing to any new roads or infrastructure. If we are not dumping refuse, we are taking over lanes for street trading etc.

But the space on the road is narrow to give such layways on the side of the road

All of them are shouting very beautify...and blaming government...... but it requires demolishing illegal "pash pash" extensions towards the streets used by the common men that always claim victims when the wrongs are corrected. Lol. Na dem go first come out to shout and start shouting marginalization, wetin poor man go chop...and many other nonsense.

When Fashola was not even touching their structures but spending on planting trees for the environment along major roads.in Lagos, dem dey abuse am and even used it against him. Una never know wetin dey worry una for this nation. Se poverty don turn ya brains upside down. grin

Shame and cluelessness due to my brother mentality

Whats Nigeria external reserve? 43+ billion dollars.

What was Nigerian external reserve in 2008? 70 billion +

If not for APC our reserve should be hitting 200 billion plus to 300 billion dollars..

What's our debt right nowhuh?? Find out

What's state allocation right nowhuh Over inflated naira and little to nothing in Dollar term compare to the larger population size..

What's the foreign direct investment soo far less than a billion dollars when Egypt has over 43 billion...

Whats the electricity situation about? Generation output?

How many companies has been established so farhuh

Do u know what's multiplier effect?
state governor was given state allocation and he refused to use it to construct roads in a commercial city in his state you didn't call him out but some how a particular party is the problem. Even if we have 1 trillion dollar as foreign reserve the governor will not do it if he is not held accountable continue waitng for federal goverwnt to come and do your state roads don't hold your leaders accountable. I recently visited portharcourt with all the money being pumped into that state, yiu will still see more than 30 people awaiting to get water from a single water point in the capital city of rivers state I couldnt believe it , bus I saw it more than 5 times in within a week. Bin the same pH for the past 2 weeks no any single day I have enjoyed upto 6 hours light all together. You will ask your self what is the state doing with thier state allocation what is niger delta development commmision doing with the money allocated to them.

Mean while let us look at poorer states that are doing better for instance borno state the capital city Maiduguri is generating their own electricity. But some how PH can and Lagos can't do the same
