I like this ..

But the sound tho ..

Could have used a sound more relative to playing the real ludo .. it sounds like some horror movie sound..
thank's bro... glad you liked it.. makes my effort worthwhile seeing someone liked it. you know it's a contest and I tried to finish before the deadline... I used procedural audio generation (adding external audio could've affected load time?).. too bad board design kept me outside the door.. again, thanks for your goodness of heart.

The red and yellow sides have 2 entry points each. The green and blue sides have none. You were also unable to remove the 'home' 'tiles'
also to clarify for you sir, the " I forgot to REMOVE the tiles on the home" was deliberate, I saw it looked good and kept it.. thought it looked "unique". didn't know it was gonna cost me lol grin

Thank you for the 8/10 rating! I really appreciate it 🙏
Sorry about the dice being invisible, it may be a browser-related glitch. The dice is visible on both my phone and computer, as shown in my screenshot. I’ll still look into it.

Thanks again!

What doesn't play, exactly? Something like that, you State it out clearly, so a review could be made.

It plays.

But what exactly is your definition of "play"?

When you complain, you state your action(what you clicked or tried to do in the game), you state what you expected from your actions(what you expected the game to do in response to your action), and finally, what the game actually did.

Then you can add your proposed solution too if you have any wink

I noticed I was unfairly preferring entries that supported retina displays just because they looked sharper.

Some agents automatically included devicePixelRatio handling, making their Entries look premium while others looked blurry.

In order to judge entries more fairly, we have added this line to all blurry boards
renderer.setPixelRatio(Math.min(window.devicePixelRatio, 2));
It is an unusual thing to do in a contest, but it was the best option. Now we can focus on gameplay sweetness.

Thank you seun for the update, I also saw the list of criterias you created

But I have some questions:

1. Are those criteria evaluated on a pass/fail basis, or are they scored/weighted?
For example, if a feature is implemented but not perfectly (e.g., good game music is added, but it still plays when the tab is out of focus), would that be considered a full fail, or would it receive partial credit?
I feel like there should be some kind of partial score in cases like this

2. Since the original challenge emphasizes UNIQUE features and overall “sweetness” of the game, shouldn't entries also receive credit or bonus points for innovative features that improve gameplay but are not explicitly listed in the published criteria?
Re: Nairaland Full-stack Vibe Engineering Challenge #1 (Ludo Game) by BelloP: 1:58pm On Dec 22, 2025
After I was added to the first list I continued working on my game. Removed some copyright infringement. I'm excited to share the new version when the selection done. its really fun I think. once my gemini trial ends its all over (unless I win).

I'm not that tech guy that can technically give explanation in regard to this but all I was trying to say is the game wasn't operational like when you try to actually play a game , it wasn't starting ...

Isn't what you uploaded suppose to be a demo of the game??

yes if the contest says unique, then unique stuffs should be taken into consideration, some of us have some unique and original features we think improves the gameplay, they should be taken into consideration too, i dont see stuffs like game auto save, ability to play with keyboard and not just mouse etc, i'd urge seun to take unique features into consideration
thank you
Re: Nairaland Full-stack Vibe Engineering Challenge #1 (Ludo Game) by Seun(mod): 9:18pm On Dec 22, 2025
It should be uniquely better. There's one guy whose piece moving animation was so extra eh. Unique in a way that makes the game sweeter.

what about an actual unique features not listed on the criteria, like ability to play the game with keyboard, game auto save, these are features even most modern games have and are unique to alot of us, they shoud be taken into consideration even though they are not on your criteria list

Good Morning Mr. Seun

I couldn't find my name in the stage1-scores.csv file.

Pls have I failed at Stage 1 and couldn't make it to the scoreboard or is it something you're still going to fix? 🙏

My entry is entry number 7

Seun:
Dear Talented Techies,

We have completed the initial assessment (Stage 0) of the submissions for the 3D Ludo Game Challenge. Our primary criteria for this stage were compliance with the "single HTML file" rule, basic functionality, and whether the board correctly represented a Ludo board.

We received a total of 68 entries. Unfortunately, many excellent attempts had to be dropped due to not meeting the core requirements or suffering from critical visual glitches. If your entry was rejected, please check the decision log for specific reasons—most common issues were incorrect board layouts or non-compliance with the single-file constraint.

To those who passed: Congratulations! You are moving on to the next stage of assessment where we will look closer at gameplay, code quality, and "sweetness."

Below is the status of all processed entries:

Passed (23 Entries):
07 (BenedictAbajue), 10 (TechToyin), 18 (BelloP), 19 (WizEndy1), 25 (3pleo), 34 (abrdgrt), 35 (JasonEmeri), 36 (Bukswag), 37 (Galay), 39 (Horladoyinog), 45 (Ttoby), 46 (Faweezee), 47 (MatrixReloaded), 50 (Nipeks), 51 (KoladeChris24), 53 (donproject2), 55 (elninosft), 57 (Vikkkilee), 61 (Uromgoodluck), 62 (Conestone), 64 (Stephen0mozzy), 68 (johnnieDom), 69 (Horlad)

Does this applies to those that were disqualified from the first stage too?

The token is likely on a safe square (star space) on the Ludo board. When a token lands on another token occupying a safe square, capture is not possible.
