minfelix:we are very unlucky when it comes to football, we made 2 U-20 final with no victory, Ghana and Morocco won the title on their first try, we’ve made more Afcon Semifinals than everybody else with just 3 titles to show for it |

Moremi turn am, twist am, throw am commot. Clinton Mata playing in Ligue 1 for Lyon ooo. Bonafide starter for Top 5 league club na im Orlando Pirates winger dey twist like wetin no good. Let me hear more rubbish about "you need to play for Real Madrid or Chelsea" before you enter Super Eagles again especially when I know it is a player the team needs. JohnBullMySon: |

As in eh my good man. 1980 - Won 1984 - Finalist 1988 - Finalist 1990 - Finalist despite heaviest opening day defeat 1994 - Won 1996-1998 - Boycott and suspension 2000 - Finalist 2013 - Won 2023/24 - Finalist That is 8 finals. Lost 5, won 3. Of those 5, we lost 3 of them to Cameroun!!! Bloody bogey team those guys were all those years! Unlucky we have been to have more silvers than Gold but it also shows u our insane consistency. I will drop some afcon specific stats to show just how good and crazily consistent Nigeria are at the Afcon. jihday: |

As per Afcon, Nigeria is an immersive team, I don’t know when Africa will learn to not underrate a tournament Nigeria team. Tournament Nigeria team is always another beast, because it’s not 2 days training they are using to come at you, it’s days/weeks of training, tomorrow game might not be all that, but then see from that second game, una go see beast… Nigeria will win this Afcon. |

Dannyxy:Nigeria does not have the team to beat any team at this AFCON. That said, I hope they can play to their potential and close off loopholes. Defence is average Midfield below average Forwards are okay Team chemistry needs improvement Goalkeeping average Not inspired by this current team. |

owbabs:it takes just good training and run of form to be a good team, when good players become a good team, no one is stop them, if Nigeria players get it, no one is stopping them. We saw flashes of what they can do against Benin, Against, Gabon, you people should not underestimate this team, they need to just become a team. |

TheSuperNerd:I had to reply to this but brother man this is absolutely untrue and I wonder how many times you're going to keep lying to yourself. Egypt is levels above Nigeria when it comes to African Footballing Nations... No time in history has Nigeria ever dominated African Football...No time. Even in the local clubside, the Nigerian clubs have been abysmal in the continent apart from when Enyimba won back to back CL titles. Nigerian clubs have never ever dominated the continent.... |

Truidstarr:This is the problem with African football in general... Fans don't watch other games not involving the host countries... You think anyone in Nigeria will watching a Cape Verde Vs Mali game if we were hosting? What happened when they played CAF Confederation final in Uyo featuring Orlando Pirates? ...Stadium was so empty, you would be wondering how the f!ck that was a final. Even in 2009 when Nigeria hosted u17, it was empty seats in non Nigerian matches. African fans hardly travel to watch football and hosts nations couldn't careless about watching games not involving their country |

Dannyxy:Once you have a contrary opinion not supporting the country you are tagged a non patriot, non partisan and from another tribe that hates Nigeria, almost the same thing that happened if you don't speak in favour of Nigeria concerning the citizen documentation case against Dr Congo for the world as if CAF in it's own ways didn't try to help us enough |

Kilishihunter:Why are you guys always involving youth and women... Baby tournaments don't count...those are developmental tournaments, not professional. You think they call Brazil the greatest Footballing nation because of U17 or their women? |

I know your moniker as one that always misreads and deliberately refuses to see the actual point being made. I wont waste time with you. If the fact on Nigeria being the absolute powerhouse of football in Africa across all categories eats you up so bad, then my suggestion is for you to time travel back into history and take down all our achievements. Rubbish. kendrick9: |
