i agree with you small oo, but make Nigeria reach world cup semifinal first and also host senior world….the only record that still make us giant is the 10wafcon trophy and 5U17 wc trophy…aside that morocco don dey catch us oo🤣
we are very unlucky when it comes to football, we made 2 U-20 final with no victory, Ghana and Morocco won the title on their first try, we’ve made more Afcon Semifinals than everybody else with just 3 titles to show for it

And so the **** what?

BAT making a push doesn't automatically translate to execution. We've seen countless grand declarations followed by nothing.

Cameroon has functional systems. Our problem isn't just funding. It's corruption, accountability gaps, and inability to complete projects. Political will without institutional capacity won't achieve jack squat.
Cameroon has functional system?

Truth is if we had won all those finals folks will still say it’s all in the past 😂

Make we win 10 Afcons dem go say na analogue era. Nothing can assuage them if they don’t feel good right now

As in eh my good man.

1980 - Won
1984 - Finalist
1988 - Finalist
1990 - Finalist despite heaviest opening day defeat
1994 - Won
1996-1998 - Boycott and suspension
2000 - Finalist
2013 - Won
2023/24 - Finalist

That is 8 finals. Lost 5, won 3.

Of those 5, we lost 3 of them to Cameroun!!! Bloody bogey team those guys were all those years!

Unlucky we have been to have more silvers than Gold but it also shows u our insane consistency.

I will drop some afcon specific stats to show just how good and crazily consistent Nigeria are at the Afcon.

As per Afcon, Nigeria is an immersive team, I don’t know when Africa will learn to not underrate a tournament Nigeria team.

Tournament Nigeria team is always another beast, because it’s not 2 days training they are using to come at you, it’s days/weeks of training, tomorrow game might not be all that, but then see from that second game, una go see beast…

Nigeria will win this Afcon.

Nigeria does not have the team to beat any team at this AFCON. That said, I hope they can play to their potential and close off loopholes.
Defence is average
Midfield below average
Forwards are okay
Team chemistry needs improvement
Goalkeeping average

Not inspired by this current team.

it takes just good training and run of form to be a good team, when good players become a good team, no one is stop them, if Nigeria players get it, no one is stopping them. We saw flashes of what they can do against Benin, Against, Gabon, you people should not underestimate this team, they need to just become a team.

Nigeria of old also reached the Afcon final last year.

Nigeria of old also won the Wafcon this year.

Nigeria of old also won 2 of the last 3 APOTYs.

You make it sound like everything we have achieved so far were done in 1800.

In the end, you can see with evidence that Morocco is still worlds away from catching up to Cameroun/Egypt not to mention Nigeria.

Egypt dominated Africa consistently between 2006 and 2010, winning 3 Afcons back to back to back. Their clubs were also winning the CAF CLs in that time period, winning twice in 2006 and 2008. As grand as their football legacy is, they still fall below Nigeria and Cameroun on the overall.

Morocco is not even in Egypt's class yet. Egypt is still North Africa's biggest football nation.

I am Team Morocco as always. Always have been for years now but I am also a student of history and facts. Not just recency bias.
I had to reply to this but brother man this is absolutely untrue and I wonder how many times you're going to keep lying to yourself.
Egypt is levels above Nigeria when it comes to African Footballing Nations...
No time in history has Nigeria ever dominated African Football...No time.
Even in the local clubside, the Nigerian clubs have been abysmal in the continent apart from when Enyimba won back to back CL titles. Nigerian clubs have never ever dominated the continent....

He's talking of all round comprising men's football, women, youth levels and our club sides which is right cause collectively we've achieved the most, If it was strictly for the men we are even behind Cameroon and Ghana

Dem say Morocco get the facilities and infrastructure.....where the fans? See how stadium for Mali vs Zambia empty. If na Nigeria host...empty seat go hard to see.
This is the problem with African football in general... Fans don't watch other games not involving the host countries...
You think anyone in Nigeria will watching a Cape Verde Vs Mali game if we were hosting?
What happened when they played CAF Confederation final in Uyo featuring Orlando Pirates? ...Stadium was so empty, you would be wondering how the f!ck that was a final.
Even in 2009 when Nigeria hosted u17, it was empty seats in non Nigerian matches.
African fans hardly travel to watch football and hosts nations couldn't careless about watching games not involving their country

Once you have a contrary opinion not supporting the country you are tagged a non patriot, non partisan and from another tribe that hates Nigeria, almost the same thing that happened if you don't speak in favour of Nigeria concerning the citizen documentation case against Dr Congo for the world as if CAF in it's own ways didn't try to help us enough

Baby tournaments don't count...those are developmental tournaments, not professional.

You think they call Brazil the greatest Footballing nation because of U17 or their women?

I know your moniker as one that always misreads and deliberately refuses to see the actual point being made. I wont waste time with you. If the fact on Nigeria being the absolute powerhouse of football in Africa across all categories eats you up so bad, then my suggestion is for you to time travel back into history and take down all our achievements. Rubbish.
