Nigeria does not have the team to beat any team at this AFCON. That said, I hope they can play to their potential and close off loopholes.
Defence is average
Midfield below average
Forwards are okay
Team chemistry needs improvement
Goalkeeping average

Not inspired by this current team.
Can you do this for all the participating teams please 🙏

Chibuike Ugochukwu (17) signed his first professional contract with Stade Rennais.

He is the brother of Burnley midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, who also started his career at Stade Rennais.

salah is obviously not a banker defensive wise. Work the ball to him and deliver. That is how his liverpool career has been since.

The Zimbabwe players have so much energy, constantly running and tracking down the opposition defensively and always ready to break on the counter.

I hope they win, it's always nice having an underdog winning.

Least I forget...

Gentlemen, gents, initially, I had decided not to host the annual Nairaland Nigeria Football Fans Award due to my busy schedule. But as it stands, I have a lot of free time on my hands until the new year, so I've had a change of heart
However, as always, the success of the award always depends on members of this thread, and I don't want to proceed without due approval.
I know many of us are still hurting from the world cup miss, but nevertheless, there's a few positives to take away from the football year, such as the super falcons winning the WAFCON and the revelation of some talents like Benjamin Fredrick..

On this note, I'd like members of the thread to vote on whether or not the awards should take place this year..

If you are in support of the award taking place this year, click "like". If you are not in support of the award taking place this year, click "share"
Voting ends at 11pm tomorrow.

Thank you

These are the kind of things I expect from Lookman from that wing; he needs to cook to show workings on the pitch

I feel for the GK mostly who made 9 saves. This Zimbabwe is really a tough nut to crack. They should give south Africa this kind of problems too
