Look at this stupid Italian case of Matteo Salvini former Italian Interior Minister

Matteo Salvini was recently finally acquitted of all charges in the "Open Arms" migrant case. The charges and the potential sentence were as follows:
Charges in the "Open Arms" Case
When he was Interior Minister in August 2019, Salvini prevented the Spanish charity ship Open Arms, carrying 147 rescued migrants, from docking in an Italian port for nearly three weeks.
The specific charges brought by Palermo prosecutors were:
_Kidnapping (or unlawful detention)
_Refusal to perform official duties
Possible Sentence
The prosecution had requested a six-year prison sentence for Salvini. If convicted and sentenced to more than five years, he would have automatically been barred from holding public office.
The Verdict
Matteo Salvini was acquitted by the Palermo court in December 2024, with the judge ruling that "the fact does not constitute a crime".
The Palermo prosecutors appealed this decision directly to the Supreme Court (Court of Cassation), which upheld the acquittal on December 17, 2025, making the verdict final. The court essentially ruled that Salvini acted within his political discretion and that Italy was not obliged to assign a safe port to a Spanish-flagged ship.

He was lucky but he has spent years going back and forth , legal costs and still working as Deputy PM plus minister for transportation. The prosecutors using the case to punish him

Im not his spokesperson, but I can also call it a diversion . In the end if the Greenland people vote to become US territory it's within their right of self determination.
China and Russia are also interested in ~~occupying~~ and prospecting for it's minerals too. Greenland has untapped rare earths, gold, titanium , ,base metals , molybdenum, graphite ,and possibly oil .
In addition any missile launch from Russia to America will be detected by a US earth station in Greenland first which has been there since WW2. The base is under the US Space Force command.

Anyway just call it unbridled capitalism greed and imperialism. 7

The USA has had a military base on Greenland since the 1950s. No US company has applied for mining rights in Greenland the way Danish, Canadian and Australian companies have.

This idea has been floated before and met with a firm no.

If he wasn't planning a capital market IPO dump job, he wouldn't have split all these companies into separate entities - SpaceX, Boring and Neuralink should be adding value to Tesla not separate companies. But he is what he is, a conman who creates wealth from IPOs and capital markets not financial performance so he will aim to float SpaceX for $500bln, Twitter for $200bln, Neuralink for $100bln rather than have them as value adding to Tesla. You don't see Microsoft, Google, Facebook splitting their different products into different companies. Splitting products into different companies is an IPO hustle and first sign of a conman

The new Share incentive scheme like the old one is to create a bubble in Share Price using hype and future promises, not to sell cars.
