_PRESS RELEASE_

*In Response Kindly quote:*
NSCDC/NSC/PRU/PR25/VOL.1/092

*_NSCDC ARRESTS 47 SUSPECTED FOREIGN NATIONALS IN NASARAWA STATE_*

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, under the amiable leadership of *_Commandant Brah Samson Umoru_* has arrested 47 suspected foreign nationals, comprising 15 females and 32 males, in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The suspects, who claimed to be from Mali, were found in a building in the Kudnawi II area, of Orange Market.

The arrest was made possible after a tip-off about the suspected foreigners living within the vicinity, immediately action was taken and investigation was launched, which led to the arrest of the individuals. The suspects confessed to entering Nigeria through Ghana and had been living in the area for almost a month, claiming to be involved in network marketing known as Qnet.

The NSCDC worked with the Nigeria Forest Security Services, vigilante groups, community leaders, and market associations to facilitate the arrest and transfer of the suspects.

The individuals were later handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS), and subsequently to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for profiling and further action.

The NSCDC remains committed to ensuring the security and safety of lives and property in Nasarawa State and will continue to work with other security agencies to address issues of foreign nationals engaging in unauthorized activities.

If they could easily enter the country unchecked at the border, travelled inland through the myriad of police, customs , immigration and military check points still undetected, then our security is useless.

Abeg! How do you enter Nigeria through Ghana?

Except through a connecting flight, which I very much doubt was the case, Nigeria does not share any land border with Ghana. This is bad journalism.

Togo is ECOWAS. It seems you have not used the land route through Ghana before. Just try asking people that do. You will know that it's easy to enter almost all West African countries

True, Mali was a former ECOWAS country now in a sahel block called AES alongside Burkina fasso and Niger.

Mali has border with 6 other West coast countries but not with Ghana ( Except after traversing Ivory Coast).

Just like Ghana doesn't have direct border crossing with Nigeria until Togo and Benin Republic is traversed.

Their mission here is very suspicious indeed (especially close to the seat of power).

These people are responsible immigrants joor! The Brororos who are killer immigrants from Chad and Niger aren't being arrested, it's these neat and good-looking people they are arresting.

All the Brororos aren't Nigerians and they live in forests within cattles, and they've turned to killers and bandits killing Nigerians. Go into the forests and arrest all the Bororos as deport them to their countries of origin with their cattle.

From Ghana they got to Togo, from Togo to Benin Republic then to Seme Border

Ghana, Togo Benin Republic Nigeria, all are ECOWAS countries.

I guess they travelled by road.

I agree with you that there mission is suspicious.

Immigration and DSS must grill them very well. Just look at some of the faces. They look like terrorists.

They are plenty in Nigeria. It’s good they get documented.

If you wan catch them, always go to Ecobank. That’s their bank.
Re: NSCDC Arrests 47 Suspected Foreign Nationals In Nasarawa State by IMAliyu2: 6:09pm On Dec 23, 2025
Unfortunately for them Mali is no longer part of ECOWAS, so no more free movement for them.
Re: NSCDC Arrests 47 Suspected Foreign Nationals In Nasarawa State by Deffi(m):
What or who are the people heading the so-called qnet company that bring undocumented people into the country willy nilly? They should be seriously dealt with......as if Nigerians do not know to do Network Marketing huh??

Something fishy is going on. Those people are being exploited and the organizers should be seriously quizzed.

Meanwhile no picture is shown of the 15 females as well.

Early this year, undocumented Chinese migrated here enmasse, and have been deported....now Malians.
