And on top of that, she can herself go on to date other men as she sees fit; same thing a man can do. So, what do you mean that a woman cannot do anything when her husband cheats on her?

Society decides what is bad and what is not in such things. Nigerian society allows married men to date women they want. She chose to abandon her marriage at least. And she is not to blame for the married man choosing to commit adultery on his wife, a freedom society allows married men.

Stop generalising men! Not every man cheats! It is you ladies who leave your genuine lovers for some playboys then turn around and start crying when the guy man shows his true colour after the initial emotional feelings.

Listed below are what stops men from cheating from my own perspective:
1. The fear of God
2. The fear of your wife
3. Poverty.

Storyland! The ex-wife will be fine. If it took her 4 years to consider returning to him, then that means she probably had options but has yet to realize the advantage that gives her. Men literally do the same thing she did... return after someone outside has burnt them... to women they formerly abandoned. It does not necessarily mean they want those women back to treat them better, but rather that those women were the cheapest option they thought available to them at that point. So, don't be shocked that women can think the same of men, too.

The ex-wife did the right thing by leaving her cheating ex-husband.

Would he have preferred she remain married to the man while keeping herself a married side-dick on the side, probably like her husband? She did well to first leave her scumbag of a husband before moving on. She is not to blame for society's general lapse in judgment... the phenomenon that accepts adulterous acts of a married man. A sidechick is not to blame for a married man's cheating. 🥱🥱🥱

2. Why should another marriage be the solution for leaving one marriage? Why can't you focus on resolving the problems that got you stuck in the first marriage you had to leave before then deciding whether finding a new one or taking a long hiatus would be best option?

3. So, my guess is as a woman you were financially abused in your marriage explaining why after x number of years of marriage, you come out unable to afford a place of your own. And rather than direct your anger at the right person-- your abuser -- you turn around to blame those who told you you were better off without your abuser in your life in order that you can finally begin working on you? You want them to take you on as some sort of charity case after your foolish decision to invest all for nothing in the name of marriage?

4. I see! She should not leave even when she is emotionally, mentally or even financially abuse. (All more than valid reasons to want to leave an unfulfilling marriage, by hmm the way.) She should wait until the man is ready to literally throws her out into the streets -- something that ultimately happened to well over 50% of women by age 40 -- before she knows she should begin fighting for herself and her own life? 🥱🥱

✓ Mental and emotional abuse are underrated.
They're are silent killers. Sometimes, too much of it could spark life threatening underlying illnesses: low blood pressure, high blood pressure, depression and many more.
✓ If the partner isn't willing to change, I think it's just better to exit when exhausted and live a quality life with good mental and emotional health.
I've seen two women very close go through this, both developed low blood pressure, one is at the chronic stage, the other woman is battling with low pulse of 30-35 readings instead of 60 and above.
Why? They're traditional women who would not speak up, who would keep quiet and be tossed around with disrespect and manipulation. May God help us

The society literally lauds married men who date outside of their marriages, meaning the men are not expected to feel bad about cheating on their wives.
