Go and sit down. What proof do you have that Oliseh wants your grade D coach and his own national to fail?

His honest tactical analysis should be opening up your eyes to the loopholes in the team, not all these emotional uproar.
Understand before saying go and sit down. The way Oliseh analysed the game was not balanced because he spent more time telling us how good tactically the Tanzanians were and failed to earlier point out the things Chelle was doing right.

Made it look as if he wanted Chelle to fail. I can get why people got that kind of energy from Oliseh and he should try being balanced next time.

This should not spur antagonism.

Zidane's son in goal for Algeria at this Afcon. His 2nd cap ooo since his switch.

And what a start for the Desert Foxes aka the Fennecs of Algeria. Brilliant goal.

Good points. But I think our people are exaggerating Oliseh's shortcomings. He did mention some positives about our games.

Remember how he waxed lyrical of Moses Simon as a "direct winger"?
Like I said, the praise came after our goal. I didn't notice him doing that until it looked clear that we would walk away with the lead.

Remember he actually criticized the changes that brought in Simon Moses.

Oliseh should try and stay balanced in his analysis. Then he will be fine.

To be fair to our boys, Akor had a chance to score this same minutes yesterday but instead of shooting he was trying to find Osimhen (complain merchant)

I am a huge fan of Victor Osimhen and I think he is the best African striker right now. Nonetheless Osimhen complains too much bro. Nobody complains when he messes up opportunities yet he moans at every wrong pass or cross that doesn't get to him. It’s getting annoying honestly
You must have gotten used to that if you watched Gala regularly. Leave that area ok..Hehe grin

WarHammer2000:
Bro, He praised the team when they did well. The very term "lateral movement" which he used so often was used to praise Akor Adams' superb movements off the ball which he noted was probably a result of Adams' training in Spain.

I also remember he praised the Super Eagles when they started to keep the ball in the closing stages, saying this is exactly what they needed to do since they already had the lead.

As for the subs, he said that Adams was our best performing striker in the game up to that point and therefore, shouldn't have been removed except he was injured. This is correct. If Chelle wanted to put sentiment aside, Osimhen should have been taken off instead of Adams, based on their game performance.
That is what I am pointing out. The tone of Oliseh's analysis shifted towards the end. He was more lyrical in praising the Tanzanians than us until it was clear we were winning.

The Akor Adams praise was not a tactical praise for Chelle.

Tactically, I will take Osimhen's pressing and forward run style over Akor in such instance. So you can see why people found Oliseh's analysis unappealing.

The second round of matches will determine the favorites.
As much as Senegal dominated, they missed a lot of chances just like Egypt, Nigeria and Morocco. South Africa showed immense grit just like Burkinafaso!

Tunisia were simply clinical. Algeria here doesn't look that convincing.

I just checked Tanzania AFCON and WORLD CUP qualification games.
If you think Tunisia and Uganda will have it easy against them you will have to bury that thought!
Of course, they lost to Niger and Zambia in Oct and Sept, however that is cos there was nothing to play for.
They have only lost 2 nil to only Morocco and DRC away from home in the last two years. They defeated Guinea home and away to deny them qualification to this AFCON, and defeated Zambia at their backyard when it mattered most.

Deserved red card to Sudan! Such a silly tackle!

Burkina Faso's very very late comeback vs Equatorial Guinea is the stuff of True Resilience.

EQ Guinea took the lead on 85mins. For most, that is game over but the Burkinabes unleashed the never say die spirit. Goals on 90+5 and 90+8, winner from Leverkusen's defender, Edmund Tapsoba turned it around and left the Guineans feeling regretful for not defending a bit better.

Just another reason why we watch the Afcon.

For all of Algeria's dominance statistically and via eye test, Sudan had more shots on target (2) than Algeria (1) in the first half.

Sudan down to 10men since 39mins of the first half so let us see how Algeria can take advantage in this 2nd half.

This presents as 4-4-1-1 but can easily be 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 as well based on this XI you selected.

Why are we making football complex. Just put Iwobi where Lookman is, and play 433.Osimhen will be free to roam while Iwobi will focus on just creating with Lookman and Chukwueze manning the wing and supporting the wing backs!
