And the numerical advantage begins showing largely. The sudanese defensive transition to stop that Algeria attack was so out of shape. Amoura in fine space on the left finds Mahrez who gets his brace. 2-0

TheSuperNerd:
For all of Algeria's dominance statistically and via eye test, Sudan had more shots on target (2) than Algeria (1) in the first half.

Sudan down to 10men since 39mins of the first half so let us see how Algeria can take advantage in this 2nd half.

He is more of an AM than a winger! Lookman can't pass but can shoot. Play him on the wings but close to the 18, and let Zaidu overlap more with Onyedika or Onyeka covering for him.
Joebie:
Iwobi is not the AM/SS we want him to be.

Sudan might lose this match 4nil but do not be deceived that is a solid team!

That red card spoilt everything for them!

Bossoflife25:
Why are we making football complex. Just put Iwobi where Lookman is, and play 433.Osimhen will be free to roam while Iwobi will focus on just creating with Lookman and Chukwueze manning the wing and supporting the wing backs!
Which wing backs? The ones that cant cross? Sometimes I just wonder what their contribution is going forward. I watched the match today and I was really disgusted with so much sideways and back passes. I saw Iwobi picking up balls from the defence and I was like so who is gonna drive the ball forward? It's still early to be complaining but my point is doing the same thing the same way and expecting a different result is tantamount to madness. This is part of the reasons we get overrun in the middle of the park,

lol! I was shocked at how abysmal Osayi was. I remember his debut against Portugal and how well he performed.
The more reason we have to move Lookman and Chukwu to the wings cos our full backs can't put in decent crosses.

Aside the 2 shots on target in the first half, Sudan havent tested him at all in the 2nd 45. Luca has been on holiday as Algeria leads 3-0 now.

A proud Dad there! May we live long to see our offsprings thrive right before our eyes. Priceless

Just like George Weah as president watching his son playing in the last World Cup he never featured in Zidane here is watching his son playing in an Afcon he never featured in

Burkina Faso's very very late comeback vs Equatorial Guinea is the stuff of True Resilience.

EQ Guinea took the lead on 85mins. For most, that is game over but the Burkinabes unleashed the never say die spirit. Goals on 90+5 and 90+8, winner from Leverkusen's defender, Edmund Tapsoba turned it around and left the Guineans feeling regretful for not defending a bit better.

Just another reason why we watch the Afcon.
And CAF wants to make this kind of spectacle every four years! Na wa o! Who go draw CAF ear bayi

Like I said, the praise came after our goal. I didn't notice him doing that until it looked clear that we would walk away with the lead.

Remember he actually criticized the changes that brought in Simon Moses.

Oliseh should try and stay balanced in his analysis. Then he will be fine.
He was too critical of the team even when we were on top in the first half, then adding sentences like "dosage of the pass" made one laugh

For a player that started his career as a winger, Osayi is quite poor offensively...
If Aina and Frederick were not injured, he won't be starting....

Truth be told, Osimhen wasted a lot of opportunities. This is not Osimhen United. He can't be the only one scoring. Also keep in mind that once Osimhen is in your starting line up, defenders are already on his case from the blast of the whistle, whether he is with or without the ball.

My point? Other players should also step up

They need to pass the ball to Osimhen quickly , not dilly dally or caressing the ball before passing to him. Remember the quick pass to Osimhen from samu when we played against benin republic in the World Cup qualifier. Osimhen is hella quick so he needs the ball faster.

Both young and explosive. We need to either work on our defence or go outright defensive like last afcon when we start to meet these kind of teams in the knockouts since injuries have disturbed the backline

The problem is during transition into attack, there are no numbers in the opponent's vital area which goes back to the over reliance on Osimhen because we assume he has the lungs to press for every ball. By the time the ball is released, Osimhen has a good amount of ground to cover and in the process gets isolated which leads to tame effort on his part. He also needs to be more clinical. In fact, the team need to be ruthlessly clinical with precision. Look at the chance that fell onto Chukwueze's right side which he had to shift to his left, when he could have just hit it one time with his right. This is why I hate the idea of inverted wingers

Diomande that I watched during the 2022 Wafu B U17 tournament that had Emmanuel Michael, Abubakar Abdullahi, Ebube Okere, and etc.
He made semis with CIV which saw them lose 2-1 to Nigeria.

He was CIV's #7 and their best player. One of the best talents in that competition and he is fully Ivorian.
