Bossoflife25:
It is waste of time arguing with people that genuinely believe this top 5 would win AFCON. lol!
Based on what? History or quality?
1. Ivory Coast
2. Nigeria
3. Egypt
4. Senegal
5. Morocco (as per host/CAF/Referee)

Nigeria would have a tougher AFCON compared to previous. I just hope we won't be disgraced at least. Winning this AFCON is a tall order from what I've seen so far. But as usual I give my final prediction after the first round. For now, I'm giving it to one of the North Africans.

Diomande that I watched during the 2022 Wafu B U17 tournament that had Emmanuel Michael, Abubakar Abdullahi, Ebube Okere, and etc.
He made semis with CIV which saw them lose 2-1 to Nigeria.

He was CIV's #7 and their best player. One of the best talents in that competition and he is fully Ivorian.
Now thats called progession. Our own for naija na to use nepotism and poor coaching select misfits for competion. when we do eventually have prospects, we'd rather they turn 25 before integrating them in to the senior team. NFF needs restructuring. PERIOD!!!!

Someone compiled Osimhen videos yesterday.. What a stinker.. I was like what will big clubs even think if they watch a video like this.. I felt bad for him
We should take it easy on osihmen he could be back to score a hatrick in the next game and whoever compiled any videos will just be put to shame. We didn’t even lose the game so what’s all the noise about the striker for. Stinker in a game we won? Plsssss people should get a job if they don’t have one.

We should compile one about Lookman too cos before yesterday game he wasn’t giving much to the team for a long while. abegi

No single upset so far. All the top teams are looking hot and primed. We really do need to improve our general play.

We really need to change our setup or maybe some players if we want to go far in the tourney, we can't be open like yesterday

Shebi once a Nigerian team fail we are always quick to discredit and discard them instead of pointing out newly discovered players for the future 😂

It was right here on our soil in Nigeria during the u-20 World Cup in 1999 that players like iniesta and xavi were discovered

Almost all of the big teams are in good form. WC qualifiers contributed to it.

Ivory Coast should have been like 4 goals ahead now they are defending for their lives after the coach removed the cores of the team (Zaha and Amad)

They were indeed solid but for the quality of the Ivorians this would have been a very difficult game to win

Ivory Coast keeper only made one save!

Mozambique actually played well in the first 20 mins or more in the first half. Inability of Ivory Coast to score in the first half showed that. Quality was what edged it for Ivory Coast

Kudos to the big teams. The first games are usually the hardest. Expect no upsets.

This Cameroon team is not the same as the one in WCQ. They look sharper and with more legs in the midfield. You can tell there was a turn over after missing out on the WC.

I’d like to see Nigeria try out a new set of players.
