Eyewitnesses shared how traffic had completely blocked movement when an ambulance carrying an emergency patient got stuck in the gridlock. Sirens were blaring, yet vehicles had nowhere to go — until a determined bike rider stepped in.

Without being asked, the unidentified motorcyclist rode ahead of the ambulance, skillfully navigating through the tight lanes, knocking on car windows, signaling drivers to make way and creating a path where it seemed impossible. His quick thinking and courage helped the ambulance break through the standstill and continue its race to the hospital.

Many commuters were left emotional, praising him for his bravery and compassion. In a city where survival often makes people mind only their own business, this simple act of kindness reminded everyone that life comes first.

Lagos may be tough, but stories like this prove that kindness still exists — even in the most unlikely moments.

Crazy scene ! In the USA all the vehicles on the road must pull over and depart for the ambulance to move for an emergency.
Fire service truck, police van and ambulance are only vehicles you must stop for even if the traffics turn green for you to move , they will move before you.

But in this part of the world bus drivers and car owners will be dragging the road for emergency vehicles but when a siren carrying ordinary local government chairman is passing they will clear the road for koboko wielding police or soldiers.

How are we sure it’s not carrying an emergency? It’s like a cup that’s half full and half empty.

It’s a standard rule, all over the world. You have to give way. They can even drive on one-way and beat traffic lights.

Don’t pray it’s you or your loved one, or your destiny helper that’s inside that ambulance being transported on emergency, while motorists block the way. What’s going to be running through your mind at that moment?

It doesn’t cost motorists anything, to give way to one ambulance and they block back the road.

Same thing is applicable to fire service and police on patrol.

Go abroad, and you will see a difference.

You dey hear siren of ambulance, you see the ambulance on your side mirror and your brain no tell you create space. A random biker had to tell you. Some of them self still dey proof stubborn after being told. What a shame!

Yeah. The government need to enforce compliance really hard. Really hard with a giving a f about public backlash. If people in Lagos are behaving like this, then there's no hope for the entire country.

Nigeria is such a pathetic place. You need to see how road clears abroad once they hear sirens . No matter the gridlock there.must be a way for an ambulance

Is it not possible that ambulance is carrying someone or going to pick someone
Do you know what it means to be sick at the point of death ? Do you know what it means to be having an asthma attack and needing urgent attention?

I’m telling you. My wife and I ( who’s a USA citizen ) are both discussing it . She was telling me how big of an issue it’s and a big offense here and can even be worse than beating the stop light sef. You must stop at all times.

Yes now. Technically, people blocking ambulance are murderers because a life being transported maybe hanging in the balance. This particular incident, the staff said they are going to pick someone. That person probably has a very limited time and motorists are ignorantly blocking assistance.

None of them can imagine themselves in a medical emergency and some random people on the road are blocking the vehicle taking them to a medical facility. Nothing kuku concern the elites, na helicopter ambulance dey go call. Make we dey do ourselves.

When he first asked them, they couldn't hear him properly.

And they were in a state of distress and confusion. The lady in particular. And I think they were shocked a random motorist is asking them such question because it's out of the blue.
