Tbh super eagles player have been lazy, now I see why other teams walloped minnows in World Cup qualifiers.

The intensity of the other top African teams have gone up, and if our players want to be lazy and not work hard at second balls, mark and run, then they should be going home.

Omoh the intensity of top teams have been crazy, super eagles have the talent, they need to wake up and bring intensity, hardwork and grit, it pure hardwork Drc use to outplay us, and how I see why we suffer, our players must stop being cowards and chickens.

Fight like warriors, they should copy osimhen, only him with Bassey seem to understand intensity, all this soft boy, clowning Iwobi , Chukwueze and innit boys are doing no be am.

I need to talk true , talent dey, but hardwork is like 20%, when you have talent but you’re lazy, an untalented person with 100% hardwork with beat you to anything, that’s super eagles problem, laziness mentally and physically, na why we Dey struggle with Tanzania them, that laziness to second and loose balls dey annoy me pass
💯

Add Lookman to that list of warriors sha. Sometimes he dey press ball like who dem thief him babe. Only issue is his decision making.

Even before the red card in the first half, South Africa weren't even doing badly. The second half was hell for the Egyptians. El-Shenawy is my Man of the Match. If the Super Eagles go one man down and we face this kind of pressure from South Africa, if we no lose maka know wetin cause am.

Even 11–11 we no fit withstand immense pressure, na 10–11 we wan come withstand. Egypt were just lucky, it's not even their defense that helped them, it was the GK, the defense did just 40% of the work.

No be one man down make us lose against Tunisia for 2021? Make we dey here dey allow banter dey cover facts. I'm not scared of South Africa whenever they want to play against us, but they are a fucking good team and every single one of their players are technically brilliant and gifted.
didn’t see the game but that xG doesn’t support your point

Egypt vs South Africa.

Salah's goal was not a penalty. Wrong call by the referee ❌

Egypt's Yasser Ibrahim's foul was not a penalty Right call by the referee ✔️

I liked the way Egypt defended resolutely. Very organized, disciplined, energetic and filled with tireless running.

Can the Super Eagles defend so resolutely with a back four of Bassey, Ajayi, Osayi and Zaidu? I don't know. Osayi and Zaidu switch off sometimes. Ajayi is average, butty and lacks that defensive grit. Chai, injury did us a strong thing with the absence of Aina and Frederick because the only solid person in our defence is Calvin Bassey.

I'm certain we'll qualify for the 2nd round but to win the AFCON we have to be defensively solid and not leak goals. The only remedy in my opinion is to increase the numbers in defence. Eric Chelle should switch to a five man defence in the knockout stages.

But seriously, why didn't caf just leave AFCON for December. If you notice, most league in europe have gone to break. You can see playes flying to morroco to come and watch matches.

the best form of Defence is attack, w should look to outscored our opponent if our Defence is weak

it's not by formation. Tactics, decisions and most importantly, desire matter also. You fit play 8 defenders and still lose woefully

I am telling you. The guy has been wanting to coach naija die.. And he would have maybe fixed our midfield problems, who knows?
This midfield palaver is a mystery. What exactly is the problem? Ever since Mikel said Onazi retired, we have been struggling with our midfield. Everybody knows we have midfield problem, still the problem persists - coach after coach, still same problem. I don tire.

Chrisantus oo, still, Akinsanmiro, still. I really don't understand.

Game day!

Optimistic of a good result.

Expect a tactically disciplined and wily Tunisian team but our individual superiority should help us carry the day God willing.

Let's go Super Eagles!

In my humble opinion, it's due to a lack of imagination from our coaches. They are ready to die on the hill of Iwobi-Ndidi-Onyeka no matter how inconsistent their results often are.

Nigeria vs Tunisia has always been cagey, 1-0, 1-1, so who scores first matters, don’t expect goals.

But I don’t know I have this feeling we might be pleasantly surprised with a Nigeria 3-0 win.

By the time we get a solid midfield, we will start lacking in other departments.

You forget SA had numerical advantage — scenario we've not had, for you to compare what we will do?

A dissimilar case in AFCON 21 where we were the one down with 10 men and still put up a spirited fight, did mockers not mock?

It is very true that if we were the one with 11 men and ended up losing yesterday no one will be patting the boys for "pressing" or "intensity"

South Africa was still dominant before the red card.

A lot of us complain because the general gameplay of the SE tends to be unimpressive. Given the amount of talent we have it should not be like that.

If you’re the one pressing, your chances of winning the game is much higher. Losing is rare. That’s why SA went 27 games unbeaten.

You’re trying to gaslight us chief. Even against Tanzania, the midfield played too light. Always trying to play long passes into attack. While I’m a fan of quick transition, you cannot be playing underdog strategy against a weak team like Tanzania. How can you build team cohesion when you don’t play to dominate weak teams?

SA was dominant before the card? Anyway you're entitled to your opinion.

Saying that people on here would care about "pressing" more than the fact the team played over 40 mins against 10 men without scoring is politician level disingenuous please. Try another thing
